He said “He Won”! That’s What He Said! Honest!

Wasted on Facebook

Before I write anything else, I want to acknowledge the fact that I have wasted umpteen opportunities for great posts by sharing my thoughts on Facebook and not here.

Seriously, I could have written a boatload of quality, earth-shattering articles on my blog, but what did I do? I jumped too quickly and vented on Facebook, all for the immediate gratification of speaking my mind and being done with the issue.

But not tonight. Nay, nay, nay . . . NOT tonight, I say!

Lying Accusers

Folks, you may have missed me saying this in the past, so I will say it again – I do not trust the media. Heck, if I have a problem trusting myself, why would I trust the New York or L.A. Times? They are literally a bunch of lying accusers with one mission: Destroy Donald Trump.

That is why it irritated me in the usual and predictable way when I skimmed through the headlines and saw this headline repeated over and over by practically every news source out there, from the Guardian to Fox News:

“Trump Admits Biden ‘Won’ But Will Not Concede”

Notice, what the news agencies said was that President Trump finally came around to acknowledging the truth that Joe Biden won, but he refuses to concede, regardless.

In reality, Trump did not say what they say he said. Trump never tweeted that he admitted Biden had won the election; all he admitted was that Biden won in the eyes of the media and that the win was a fake.

In remarks in Wilmington, Del., last week, Biden weighed in on Trump’s refusal to concede the race, denouncing the president’s actions and suggesting that Americans are “ready to unite.” . . . “Well, I just think it’s an embarrassment, quite frankly,” Biden said of Trump’s insistence that he won the race. Biden added that Trump’s actions “will not help the president’s legacy.”

Where do I begin? First, over half of America was “ready to unite” four years ago when they elected Trump. It was only the Democrat-led left and the never-Trumpers who pouted “He’s not my president” and screamed at the sky in childish tantrums. Now that Biden seems to be heading to the White House, the little tantrum slingers are “ready to unite.”

That’s right, when things don’t go your way, throw tantrums, make up stories about collusion, verbally or physically assault everyone from hat-wearing teens to government officials having dinner in their own homes, and threaten to leave the country you love. Then, when your childish anger and constant tantrums weary people to the point of exhaustion and they give in, you put on your righteous robes and say, “It’s time we unite.”

Second, Trump never once insisted or implied that he thought you actually won the election, but that you stole it through fraud! It’s called sarcasm.

Third, let’s be serious – why in the world would Joe Biden be concerned over Donald Trump’s legacy?

My Point

So, what’s my point in writing this? It’s that even though reality is staring us in the face, the news media tells it’s own story, it’s own version of the facts, all with the intent of destroying Trump.

You can’t trust the media when they literally tell you what they want the President to mean when he speaks, even though it’s obvious to the objective observer Trump never says what they say he says.

The media, just like Satan (the father of lies), will accuse you of saying something you didn’t say, then condemn you as a liar for refusing to concede to the lies.

All I know is that hell is probably in a “blue state.”

My Initial Thoughts On the 2020 Election Results

You have your opinions. I have mine.

It is hard to believe that I live in America. By that I mean it is hard to believe that the America I grew up with – one where people were patriotic, respected the office of leaders, and never considered sabotaging the whole electoral system – is the one in which people are so divided and the party platforms are so morally different.

Now that I think about it, there was a time when this country was equally divided, even more so, and that was a time when we took up arms to kill our brothers at the other end of our carbines and canon. Some have said that’s where we are headed once more. I hope not.

But I wonder, without scouring the history books (that haven’t been revised by modern liberals), I wonder if the people of our nation back in the 1860’s were as angry, manipulative, disrespectful, self-serving, God-hating, perverse, and vindictive as they are today? I kinda doubt it.

I mean, from the history that I’ve read, both the North and the South had men and women of honor and principle who differed to the point of war, but did so with integrity. How else did we become the most powerful nation on Earth? A nation that could never move past a political defeat, or even a military one, could never later unify as a patriotic people to defeat the Nazis, the Imperial Japanese, and even the Russia of the Cold War.

So, for four years after an embarrassing and unexpected defeat, the Democrat Party and RINOs (Republican In Name Only) have done nothing but seethe with anger and resentment for President Trump and have sought, through any means necessary, to undermine the President, even at the expense of the American people.

The reason we are where we are today is not because of differing ideologies or political worldviews. The reason we are in the shape we are in this very moment, a state of utter confusion and distrust of the political and electoral system, is not because Donald Trump talked dirty in a locker room or tweeted something “un-presidential.”

The reason we are boarding up our stores, banks, pharmacies, and places of worship is not because we are being invaded by an army of locusts or facing down the barrel of a Cat5 hurricane.

The reason we are in this mess the day after the election is not because President Trump colluded with a foreign power, was an inept leader, or that he has been the worst and most embarrassing president ever.

The REAL reason we are where we are today, right this moment, is because an uninformed, maliciously-educated, biblically-illiterate electorate was lied to, mislead, manipulated, used as pawns, incited, and incentivized by a perennially-corrupt, morally-bankrupt, socially-manipulative, traitorous main-stream media whose sole purpose for the last four years has been to overturn the election of a man they knew would not push forward a socialistic, barbaric, evil, “progressive” agenda.

There is NO reason, other than because of fomented hatred for the current President, that a sane, informed, patriotic, educated, God-fearing public would vote to have a bona fide corrupt politician with cognitive disabilities, along with Che Guevara’s dream groupie, lead them!

If the main-stream news media, along with the supporting entertainment industry, both nothing more than extensions of the Democrat Party, would have given credit where credit is due, then a three-time Nobel Prize-nominated, promise-keeping, job-creating, peace deal making President would have no problem getting re-elected. But all the average person hears is “Orange Man Bad!”

Mark my words, the media that will side so heavily with one party to corrupt the perceptions of the general populace in order to secure power and force a corrupt and immoral agenda will find no security in the eventual government they hope to bring about.

14 Reasons Why I Will Vote

NOTE: The following is a politically-inspired post. Even though I am a minister of the Gospel, it is my right as an American citizen to express my opinions on this matter. I make no apology for doing so.

Election Day

Woo HOO!!! Tomorrow is the day we get to go to the polls and select who will be our next President!

Wait… Maybe I should start over.

GOD HELP US!! Tomorrow is the day we must go to the polls and choose who will be our President for the next four years.

Yes, I am going to the polls tomorrow, and I just wanted to take a moment to tell you why.

My Reasons for Voting

  1. voteBlood. People died so that I could vote. That should be good enough.
  2. Complaining Rights. I want to be able to complain should the one I vote for lose. Those of you who don’t vote should keep your mouth shut on the 9th.
  3. Responsibility. I have been given a gift to live in a representative republic. The right to vote is not only a privilege, it is a responsibility. Scripture is very plain about being good stewards with what we have been given, and it would be poor stewardship to throw away an opportunity to make a difference for good.
  4. My Daughter. She wants a woman President – just not this one. Face it, 2 days after the smoke settles, the real President will be Kamala Harris.
  5. The Supreme Court. One of the major concerns facing voters in the last election was the possibility of whomever was elected to put up to 4 justices on the bench. We got THREE – NO BAD! But now it’s different: Democrats promise to pack the court (because they are crybaby bullies).
  6. Religious Freedom. Believe it or not, our religious liberties are on the line. There is no question there will be riots if Trump is elected to a second term – the Left has already promised as much. Yet, if Biden is elected, rest assured the Church in America (at least the ones who believe the Bible is the inerrant and inspired Word of God) will experience retribution, intimidation, and bullying the likes none of us have ever witnessed – except in former Communist countries.
  7. Stickers. The inner child in me likes stickers. I want an “I Voted!” sticker.
  8. Guns. I am a red-blooded American, and no matter what Mr. Biden says, I believe he will do everything possible to make it more difficult, if not impossible, to buy or own a handgun. Even though he says he doesn’t want to take away our guns, he’s not exactly the poster child for honesty.
  9. Email.  It was Hillary’s email four years ago, now it’s the Biden crime family syndicate. Joe Biden, are you the “Big Man”? 
  10. Benghazi. Four dead Americans no longer have a voice. I will vote in their memory because Hillary is still alive and it STILL MATTERS! 
  11. Partial-Birth Abortion. I oppose abortion, but especially late-term, partial-birth abortion that masquerades as a procedure meant to protect a mother’s health. Give me a break. No matter what kind of faults Trump has, at least he can recognize partial-birth abortion is an unnecessary, unacceptable, in-humane, murderous act worthy of Joseph Mengela. The Democrat Party thinks it’s perfectly acceptable.
  12. Health Insurance Premiums. Remember, Obama promised we could keep our doctors, keep our plans, and that we would experience lower premiums. Therefore, whatever Biden and Harris promise is probably a bold-faced lie, too. 
  13. Dead People. I must cast my vote to offset the dead voters who are resurrected to show up and vote Democrat at every election.
  14. I am an American.

Seriously, don’t stay home. Vote!

Rejoice or Mourn, but Don’t Settle

Proverbs 29:2

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”

It would seem like never before in the history of man has it been possible for atheists and all those antagonistic to Christianity, the Bible, faith, or whatever, to have their voices be heard. Of course, I may be wrong and even over-exaggerating a little, but thanks to the media and easy access to the internet, angry voices condemning leaders with morals are screaming from every direction.

This proverb should not be interpreted as saying, “Christians should be in authority everywhere!” No, the idea is more along the lines of promoting wise leadership, honest leadership, or simply men and women with integrity and moral fortitude. Yet, even when and if true Christians were to assume authority, very few would have any thoughts of promoting a “theocracy.” But listen to the atheists and you’d think that the “righteous” would start hanging unbelievers tomorrow, if they could.

The fact is that at it’s founding, when the most Christians (including deists) where in authority in America, that is when they founded a constitutional republic, NOT a theocracy.

Righteous Rule

When the righteous rule, the people rejoice. Why is that? Could it be that the people are treated fairly? The righteous wouldn’t take more than they need in taxes. The righteous wouldn’t lie about issues in order to get elected. The righteous would be responsible with resources. The righteous wouldn’t seek office to obtain power, but to serve others. The righteous wouldn’t compromise his beliefs, but he would work together with his fellow man in search of the common good.

Sadly, many in our society mourn when the righteous are considered for leadership. Many recoil at the thought of a man or woman with integrity, faith, and morals. They see these potential leaders as threats – not to freedom, but to unrestrained behavior.

Wicked Rule

Why do the people mourn when the wicked rule? Because the wicked think only of themselves; they care nothing about the people under their authority.

Do we have wicked leaders, or are our leaders righteous, looking out for all of us? Do those in authority serve, or do they accumulate power in order to manipulate the masses? The answer will be different and vary in intensity wherever you go, but this much is true: there are far fewer righteous leaders than wicked ones.

The Undecided

But then there are those who can’t decide whether to rejoice or mourn. They have been treated so poorly for so long that they have come to accept wicked leadership as the norm.

If you think otherwise, just consider the following defense of President Obama by L.Z. Granderson on CNN:

“Now with president Obama, it is true, he should have been more forthright with how the Affordable Care Act was going to impact the country. But with that being said, all Americans know politicians lie. The question is: which lies can you live with? And time and time again Americans have said, “We can deal with the lies that President Obama tells us, because we believe in his heart – he has the best interests for the American people. Every president’s gonna lie to you. Every politician is gonna lie to you. The question is: which lies can you live with?” – Source

Sounds more like when the wicked rule, the people give up caring. God help us.

I Saw and Perceived. Will You?

θεωρέω

The word is theōreō (θεωρέω), and it is translated as “saw” and “perceive” in two different verses in the book of Acts.

Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw [G2334] the city wholly given to idolatry. … Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, [Ye] men of Athens, I perceive [G2334] that in all things ye are too superstitious. – Acts 17:16, 22 KJV

The Apostle Paul had not only been a spectator, but had discerned and considered the idolatrous condition of the city of Athens, and it broke his heart. That led him to take action.

Pray for Us

When I was in Zimbabwe I was able to see for myself what was going on. I was able to discern the painful conditions under which the people live. But even more, my heart was broken and convicted, for here was people who had a determination to survive, no mater what. Here was a body of Christians who were determined to share the gospel on one hand, and work for better conditions with the other.

Today more protesters concerned with unemployment (over 80%) and government corruption went to the streets, court approval in hand, yet were arrested by police. The people live in poverty because of leader who will not listen to the people of his country, and they are growing weary.

But what did I hear from the people I met? “Pray for us,” they would beg. “Pray for peace, for a peaceful election, and a change for good.” They want better relations with Western countries, not North Korea or Russia. They don’t want a coup, but fair and honest elections. But things are getting very tense, so they beg for us to pray.

Real People

It’s one thing to read about it in the news, but something totally different when you know the people involved. I went there…I met them…I lived and ate with them… The people of Zimbabwe are real people, a people of whom many love God and want Zimbabwe to be a Christian light on the continent of Africa.

I saw. I perceived. Now, will you take just a moment and look a little closer? Would you please intercede for this nation and our fellow believers caught in the middle of such turmoil?

All they want us to do is see them, and pray.

When You Vote…

Your VOTE should be more than a calculated bet.

Your VOTE should be more than a strategic move to benefit a party.

Your VOTE should be, if possible, more than a compromise; it should be a statement.

Your VOTE should be – it SHOULD be – your stamp of approval, one that signifies the person for whom you are voting is the best possible choice.

Your VOTE should NOT be based on statistics.

YOUR vote SHOULD be based on YOUR understanding, NOT public opinion.

voteYour right to VOTE is NOT a true right; it’s a PRIVILEGE. Certain inalienable rights are given by God (i.e., life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness); the privilege to vote was bought with human capital (the blood of our soldiers). DON’T waste the opportunity afforded to you by the lives of others!

Remember, our Forefathers pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor so that you could have a voice in who governs you. However, those for whom you vote these days have nothing to lose, but everything to gain. Hold them accountable!

Your VOTE is a sacred trust. DON’T betray it.

Tennessee Taliban?

Yesterday, on Facebook, I read a post comparing conservatives in Tennessee to the Taliban. Yes, the Taliban.

Was it meant in jest? Was it simply sarcasm? Was it some form of sophisticated humor far above my intellectual capabilities? In any case, I did not find it humorous, but offensive. Let me quote to you what the author wrote, but just in case I’m missing something, I won’t name names – since the Taliban might get offended, and you know how that could go.

“Family Values is the Sharia Law of East Tennessee… [Rich and White] are the only two qualities required to hold office here in the Taliban region of East Tennessee.”

church ladyIt’s easy to come down hard on unloving, graceless, legalistic Christians (or at least those who claim to be) when they try to push their beliefs. I mean, if all you ever experience is the literal version of Dana Carvey‘s SNL character Church Lady, then that kind of self-righteous, churchy, hate mongering is easy to condemn.

But in reality, the ones my friend (yes, it’s a friend) were comparing to the Taliban are those who strongly believe abortion is wrong, that wine sales should be confined to the liquor store, and that one shouldn’t have to check his religion at the door when either voting or running for office. The Tennessee “church ladies” were even likened to Taliban because of their supposed hypocritical support for a less-than-godly candidate. But is the Taliban characterization fair? I don’t think so.

With the exception of the insane radical who has no clue what it means to follow Christ (yet claims to be a Christian), even the most conservative of conservatives, even the most severely Independent Fundamental Bapticostalite-type is nothing, NOTHING like the Taliban!

Give me a break!

For example, let’s compare reactions. Last week a Baptist church in my town was savagely vandalized. What did we do? We prayed that justice would be done, that the vandal would be caught, AND that our community could find a way to show him the love of Christ. What would the Taliban have done in the same situation? Well, as a clue, just last week a missionary friend informed us of a couple in his town that was burned alive after being accused of burning some pages from the Koran. The 26 year-old couple, parents of 4, were repeatedly thrown onto a fire as they pleaded their innocence. But hey, those Christians were taught a lesson, weren’t they?

Had the Christians in Lookout Valley, Tennessee, been the Taliban, we would have united after our morning prayers, then killed the teenager who destroyed the church. After that, like so often is the case with Muslim mobs, we would have looted, raped, and crucified anyone who looked like an atheist or liberal, then burned our own businesses – just to make a point.

But we didn’t, did we?

And what about that election? What about those dreadfully religious, abortion-regulating votes?

  • You mean those votes cast in a fair election after which no one was shot, beheaded, or blown up by a car bomb?
  • You mean the election to which women were allowed to drive themselves?
  • You mean that election we actually HAD?!

I guess the Tennessee Taliban never got the memo from headquarters. You know, the one that says, “Tyranny good…democracy bad.”

So, what’s my point? It does not further the quest for Christian unity and understanding when we intentionally use blatantly derogatory labels to demonize those with whom we disagree, especially when we agree on far more things than we don’t.

If my interpretation of the reason for using the “Taliban” term was flawed, then I sincerely apologize. I understand, as pointed out by my wife and children, I can blow things way out of context. But, if I was, as I suspect, lumped in with those who kill those with whom they find the least bit of variance, I’m hurt.

Labeling those who were only doing their civic duty, and had they lost would have only complained and whined, as the “Taliban” was an unfortunate use of words. But unlike the Taliban, we will forgive.

Election Season Vision

Every time an election season rolls around, I get a little blue, a little down, a little grumpy. You see, taking a stand on principle, especially when it goes against the mainstream, can be physically and emotionally draining. This time, however, I have the added pleasure of the flue to complicate matters, so you might find me acting a little “snippy.”

And, if you are a regular reader, you may have noticed there was no “Monday Monkey” video this week. Part of the reason has been a shortage of time (beyond normal), but there has also been a sick wife, daughter, and self. The thought of editing anything made my head hurt.

Yet, as much as I attempt to fight the good fight, be salt and light, and keep a roof over my family’s head, I must remember “this world is not my home, I’m only passing through.” As much as I may be tempted to stress over national and world economies, “my treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue.” One day this world will pass away, even America. This is only a temporary stop, so I shouldn’t let it bother me too much.

One day I will go to a land where there will be no more elections, no more propaganda, no more political parties, no more special interests, only the High King of Glory reigning in righteousness and truth. That must be my focus, my vision, “whatever befall.”
