Welcome to “The List“!

Instead of having a long list of names and addresses cluttering up the sidebars of my blog, I decided to add this page.

Below you will find a bunch of blogs and websites which I either like, or they deserve to be noticed, or both. Not only will I list the sites, but I will write something about each one and why they have been included.

However, please don’t get your feelings hurt if you are not on this list. Please! I anticipate the list to change with time as things happen, like sites being discontinued, people ticking me off, etc. 😉

So, feel free to click on anything below, just make sure you read my comments, first…they are my only rating system.

NOTE: You can always leave your own suggestions in the comment section.

Websites

Blue Letter Bible

Honestly, even though I have thousands of dollars invested in LOGOS software, I use BlueLetterBible.org more often than anything else when I’m studying. That may change someday, but for now it is the easiest, most intuitive, most robust FREE online Bible study program I’ve ever used. Sure, there are other sites which excel in certain areas, but Blue Letter is my first choice. Beside Facebook and WordPress its probably the most used app on my cell phone, too.

Precept Austin (preceptaustin.org) is also a fantastic resource. It actually has far more sources than Blue Letter! However, it’s not as easy to use if you’re doing quick research.

GotQuestions.org

Look, there are times when I have a question about something biblical or in the Christian life; it could be a doctrinal issue, a social issue, or whatever. Many times I will go straight to this website and find either just what I’m looking for or links to Scripture references which will help me clear something up. I trust the site to be very biblical and conservative. I highly recommend it.

Abort73.com

If you want facts, facts about abortion, this is the place to go. This is where you will get the REAL story, not the one the left-wing media and social engineers want you hear. This site is absolutely loaded for bear in the fight to save humans from infanticide. If you’re still pro-abortion after spending some time at Abort73, you need serious prayer. Just saying.

Wallbuilders.com

Let me just quote from the “About” section of this website.

WallBuilders is an organization dedicated to presenting America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional foundation on which America was built – a foundation which, in recent years, has been seriously attacked and undermined. In accord with what was so accurately stated by George Washington, we believe that “the propitious [favorable] smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation which disregards the eternal rules of order and right which heaven itself has ordained.”

This is a great website if you want to build a sermon or speech about the founding principles of America. It’s also a good place to be made aware of how dumbed-down we’ve become as a society.

Answers In Genesis and Reasons to Believe

These two websites offer differing views on the one truth – God created the heavens and the earth. One is clearly a “young earth” proponent; the other is “old earth.” However, if you will go to both with an open mind (and that goes for Christians, too), there will be plenty of stuff that brings serious challenges to the debate over evolution and intelligent design.

But for the record, I’m looking forward to visiting the life-size replica of Noah’s Ark.

Blogs

It will take a while to describe each of these blogs and why I have listed them. I will come back a little at a time to add a few words and add a few blogs. Until then, check them out – if you find them interesting, then why not subscribe? My daughter’s blog, especially 😉

Proverbial Thought – This is one of my other two blogs (Whenever I get a new iPhone I may tell you about i4Daily). This blog was a commentary through the book of Proverbs. Several others helped me with this over a period of 2 years. It was one of the best things I ever had the opportunity to do. I regularly re-post the “thoughts.”

Ebs and Flows – This is David Welford and Nick Welford’s blog. They’re Brits. They exited the EU, but not the building. The writing on this blog is full of perspectives this Yank will never have. Love these guys and one day hope to meet them in person. We will have tea.

Truth in Palmyra – Wally is a gem. Wally is a prolific blogger and Bible teacher. He’s a Baptist, and I’m a Baptist, but we ain’t the same kind of Baptists. But we are friends. He’s a good listener, too 🙂

Another Fearless Year – Poetry. Poetry from a legal mind. Good poetry, even if it doesn’t all rhyme, which is my kind of poetry. I have no doubt when you check it out you’ll find a rhyme that’s just your kind.

Inspiration with an Attitude – Attitude. What more can I say? Sharp wit. Brainy wit. Stuff that will stick wit you.

The Isaiah 53:5 Project – A conglomeration of apologetic go-getters. Lot’s of stuff that just keeps on coming.

A Simple Man of God – Daniel Klem is a long-time blogging friend. He and his wife are one of those couples all older married couples wish they could be like; full of energy and cute as a bug. He’s a hot-climate, hot-coffee scholar.

New Life, by Pastor Chris Jordan – I’m a Baptist; he’s not. Brother Chris is a Canadian, but he’s still a good ol’ boy. Great preacher, great writer, and a contributor to Proverbial Thought.

Men of One Accord – More poetry, except from a man’s man. James is a blessing to my heart and soul. God has used him to be a great encouragement when I needed it.

Jessie Jeanine Photography – Jessie has more than one website/blog. This one, however, is full to the brim with California-girl photography. No, not bikini pictures. What kind of blogs do you think I’d promote? Good grief! Seriously, great photos and truth to match.

Shutter Elf – This is my daughter’s blog. If you haven’t subscribed to this one, I highly recommend it. You’ll never meet a more spiritually mature 20 year-old photographer with this kind of eye for God’s creation.

The Hope for Life – This is a blog worth looking in to . The best I can tell right now is that it’s worth reading, if only to get an insider perspective of prison ministry. That’s a hard ministry, and one worthy of your prayers.

More to come…
