15 Signs You’re Not from Minnesota

I’m Giving In

Before I started recording on YouTube, I did a lot more writing.

And before I started creating content for video, I used to tackle issues of the day on a more regular basis.

Neither one of my YouTube channels have a format open to my thoughts on current events and complicated social issues. They are geared either to Bible study and/or preaching or watch-related material.

Nonetheless, here I can say what I really think. Here I am free to express my feelings more freely and with transparent honesty.

So, I am now giving in to the call of the commentary starved. Yes, even though nobody has asked for my opinion, I’m going to give it. How else are those hungry for more opinions going to survive?

The Crazies

Why is it that most of the country can look at what is going on in the State of Minnesota and see what those living there can’t? Do they not realize that they are becoming the very definitions of every kind of crazy one can think of?

Have you ever heard of the term “Walmartian”? That’s not Wal-Martian, like a price saving alien from Mars. No, it’s a name that has been given to the most stereotypical examples of Wal-Mart shoppers whose water has been tainted for generations.

You know a Walmartian when you see a Wal-Mart shopper that causes you to look away, then look back, then look away again only to tell your neighbor to look without looking. They ain’t normal.

Well, it seems that we have found the source of the polluted gene pool from which Walmartians drink – it’s Minnesota.

How to Tell You Are Not from Minnesota (and probably not a Crazy)

Early in my life I was little embarrassed of my country/hillbilly/redneck upbringing in the mountains of Tennessee. However, eventually I grew up and out of the culturally imposed shame. Now, because of Minnesota, I am thrilled to know where my ancestors copulated!

But how do I know none of my forefathers and foremothers ever drank of the same polluted water that’s obviously quenching the thirst of screeching gender-confused protesters out west? Easy!

Here are 15 Things I DO NOT DO that prove I, nor my America-loving ancestors, never came from Minnesota.

  1. I do not support relocating pirates to my hometown.
  2. I have never had the desire nor inclination to change my hair color to pink, purple, or blue.
  3. I do not consume illegal substances.
  4. I do not hire unsavory individuals to tattoo my face with offensive images or language.
  5. I do not put myself in harm’s way by intentionally entering into the danger zone where law enforcement officers are attempting to arrest a known criminal.
  6. I do not harbor criminals, nor do I assist them in fleeing from law enforcement.
  7. I do not threaten to start a second Civil War when I know how the first one turned out.
  8. I do not enter places of worship claiming it is my right to interfere with the rights of others.
  9. I do not use my vehicle to block roads.
  10. I do not use my vehicle as a weapon against law enforcement.
  11. I do not spit on other people, especially those who are allowed by law to use deadly force when threatened.
  12. I do not get into fights with police.
  13. I do not hate capitalism and propose to “tear down the system.”
  14. I do not have Trump Derangement Syndrome.
  15. I do not think Hillary Clinton should have been President.

I could have kept going, but the list would be too long to read in one sitting. Just know that what I didn’t include are automatically covered because I bathe regularly, worship a biblical Jesus, and have job that does not include community organizing.

So, Minnesota has been on my mind. Thankfully, I still have enough IQ points not deducted by listening to Tampon Tim and Ilhan Omar.

Welfare or Warfare: When Hate Overwhelms Common Decency

They Took an Oath

Please understand, this is not intended to be a political rant, only a thinking-out-loud kind of thing. That being said, I did some quick research and found texts of the oaths of office taken by Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzger.

The oath taken by Mayor Brandon Johnson on May 15, 2023 reads:

“I, Brandon Johnson, do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of Mayor of the City of Chicago according to the best of my ability.”

The Illinois Constitution (Article XIII, Section 3) prescribes the oath for all state officers, including the Governor:

“I do solemnly swear (affirm) that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of [Governor] to the best of my ability.”

What I find interesting is that in neither oath is there anything that specifically states that the one swearing will look after the safety and best interests of their constituents. Granted, that should be assumed if they are taking oaths to uphold state and national constitutions. However, constitutional law can be debated, even the intentions of those who wrote them.

So, what’s my point?

It would seem that the President of the United States sending in National Guard troops to GUARD the safety of other citizens trying to carry out their sworn duties would be a good thing. Those troops are not being sent to patrol the streets and enforce Martial Law; they are being sent to protect law enforcement from other citizens who are intent on disrupting or even harming them.

Therefore, it would seem that the best interest of the people the elected officials are sworn to serve would include the enforcement of civility and safety, not further resistance to law and order.

In other words, it seems to me that JD Pritzger and Brandon Johnson resent President Trump, even hate him, more than they care about civility and the rule of law. I would dare say that their personal disdain for the leadership of the President “trumps” the welfare of those they swore to serve.

Maybe oaths of office should include language that’s a little less debatable and a lot more enforceable. Specifically, the oaths should include language like: “I solemnly swear to make sure the safety and welfare of the people I serve, regardless of political affiliation, carries infinitely more weight than my petty political pet peeves I have with others.”

Just my opinion, of course.

How to Vote Like Jesus

Friends, let me be honest. The sermon I am sharing with you today is the best I’ve ever, EVER heard on this subject. It is absolutely spot on, biblical, and convicting.

This pastor does not endorse a candidate, but he makes it abundantly clear with Scripture what the God-given duty of an American Christian is. It’s your choice, but you have to actually make one.

To sit out this (or any) election is nothing less than passive disobedience to God. That’s what this pastor argues, and I believe he is correct.

What Would Make Me NOT Vote for Trump?

Please allow me to share a LOT of words with you. That’s all they are, after all. Just words.

But words have meaning. Words are powerful. Words expose the heart. And sometimes, believe it or not, it takes more than a sound bite or meme to get the full picture.

So, at the risk of losing your attention, I want you to see my heart. I want to be transparent.

This morning a friend asked a legitimate question on Facebook. A friend of that friend gave an answer. To that answer I responded.

Read if you’re interested.

The Original Question

Is there a moral or a red line that Trump could cross that would turn you against him? He mentioned once that he could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and he wouldn’t lose any supporters. I’m not being facetious, I am being very serious. Is there any one thing or more than one thing that would make you have second thoughts?

The First Response

You’ll never get an honest answer to this question but it’s probably no there’s nothing he could do to turn his supporters away.

My First Honest Answer

To begin with, teachers and professors often claim that “there is no stupid question.” However, there are questions that cannot be answered simply because of the flawed premise on which the question is based. For example, “Would you rather be eaten alive by a shark or an orange?”

Your question is not to the level of unanswerable, but it’s close. The problem is that it assumes that Harris has NOT already done something that would make us not vote for her. The fact is that, in order to not vote for Donald Trump, he would have to exceed the unacceptable level of Kamala Harris.

My vote is based on my love of country, along with my love of family and church. Both candidates have histories from which I can draw conclusions. Both make plenty of claims, but only one’s history supports his claims. Therefore, based on what is readily knowable, despite propaganda, Trump may or may not “make America great again,” but Harris will certainly cause it irreparable harm. Her radical support for abortion alone, not to mention everything else she would support, if not mandate, will only pollute the land even more with the blood of innocents.

Assuming all the accused evils of both candidates were blatantly observable and undeniable, I could not vote for Donald Trump if, and only if, he was a greater danger to the republic and the moral fabric of this country. But we are not comparing Hitler to Nero. Even if we were, only one of those set fire to his own kingdom. Which would you choose?

The Response to My Answer

I think I disagree – I think it is the hypocrisy that drives everyone crazy. He can do no harm no matter what and the other side it criticized for everything – that’s the bottom line. He’s just not a “good” person in any way, shape or form.

My Final Reply

But I have to ask… what harm has he done that is supposed to make me vote for Harris? Rape? Murder? Treason? If he did those things, then we’d have a problem. But is it just possible that the media, which is TOTALLY and unapologetically biased, done everything possible to deceive the public? Just think of how many things Trump claimed to be happening that was labeled as crazy. And how many of those things were proven true?

  • The Dems and the FBI did spy on Trump’s campaign.
  • China was responsible for Covid.
  • The Hunter Biden laptop was legit.
  • The Bidens were making money off of Ukraine and China.
  • All of the “crimes” he’s been convicted of…do you seriously believe that wasn’t a witch hunt?

[Let me add that several years and millions of taxpayer dollars were wasted on the Russia collusion hoax.]

You and others say unequivocally that he’s a “bad man.” There have been plenty of accusations, sure. But do you believe them? What about the credible accusations leveled against the Biden/Harris administration? What about the lying about Joe Biden’s health?

Think about this. I’m sure what Trump said about women is seared into your memory, that as a rich and famous man he could just walk up to any woman and grab her (privates) and nothing would happen. Was he lying? But did he do it? Was he just making a point?

Trump, like many men, including former presidents, have been unfaithful. Trump was even divorced. Yet, look at his family. How does he treat them? How do they love him? Is that a mark of a scoundrel? During the whole 4 years he was president, what immoral thing did he do? As much as he is hated, don’t you think it would have surfaced if he had been with an intern in the Oval Office? You see, it’s just too easy to claim he is evil with no impartial evidence.

Do you realize that not one soldier died over seas while Trump was president? No new wars. Not a bomb dropped. Three peace treaties were signed in the Middle East. We became energy independent. He moved the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. He strengthened religious liberty by ditching the Johnson amendment which limited speech from church pulpits. And he ended Roe v Wade, just as promised. And he’s a bad man?

If you are still reading, let me describe what will happen should Harris be elected. For one, the weaponization of the DOJ against political opponents will be permanent. Based on what has already been done, further, more dramatic catering to LGBTQ causes will have a major impact on churches, Christian schools, Christian business, Christian or conservative media, parental rights, and free speech. Tax law, such as taxes on unrealized capital gains, will cripple our economy, bankrupt our farmers, and destroy investment. And make no mistake, there will be more war, particularly involving China [and Taiwan], Iran, and Russia.

I know I’ve written a lot. I’m sorry. But I truly believe that what you think of Trump is the result of years of corrupt media propaganda and lies told by the sexually deviant groups that hate God and Christians. It’s just too obvious.

To Wrap It Up

There an old proverb that says, “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.”

Donald J. Trump is not an angel. He may even be a bad person. Yet, he is the only candidate for the office of President of the United States who will take a pay cut to serve, willingly risks his life for this country, and cares more for the sovereignty of our borders than the feelings of hostile regimes.

We have enemies, but only one flawed human is the most qualified choice to confront them. I’m voting for him.

Reflections On the Trump and Harris Debate

A lot has been said about the debate on the 10th of August. Nearly all the Democrats believe their candidate for president won. It was a mixed bag in the Republican camp, on the other hand. That being said, I would like to offer my take, what I think happened.

At the end, I would like to make some predictions, should Kamala Harris become POTUS.

And the Winner Is…

Having won debates in school, I know a little about how to do it. That being said, from a stylistic standpoint, I believe Vice President Kamala Harris won her first debate with President Trump. She caught him like the Japanese did the US Navy at Pearl Harbor. She shocked those who underestimated her with a display of uncharacteristic verbal skill and acuity.

There were no “word salads,” only cutting, coherent sentences fired from the mouth of a seemingly seasoned trial lawyer.

Trump was a battleship and Harris was a nimble Mitsubishi Zero. He was only able to hit her a few times and found himself most often on the defense. This time the battle went to the Democrats.

She wants another debate, I hear, just like the Japanese wanted to wrap up their victory with a final battle at Midway. But let’s not forget how that turned out. It did not go well for Hirohito’s navy.

A Strategy Revealed

Another thing I witnessed was Harris continuing with a strategy previously used by her boss. Just like Biden did all the time, she brazenly applied Joseph Goebbles’ doctrine to her method of attack: if you tell a big enough lie, and you tell it often enough, it becomes truth.

She did this with her “no late-term abortion” lie; the Charlottesville “fine people” lie; the “inherited chaos” lie; the “anti-military” lie; the “Trump is a racist” lie; the “bloodbath” lie; the “first day dictator” lie; the “personal gain” lie; and the “he’s always lying” lie. And sadly, which is par for the course, the media never called her on it, for they have been doing the same thing.

My Prediction

If the American people continue to put 2 and 2 together, they will look past the polished rhetoric delivered during the debate and see the steaming pile of feces for what it is.

The economy IS in shambles; babies ARE aborted late term; she WAS the beneficiary of a soft coup; she DID lie about the health of the current sleeping president; she WILL push for mandatory gun buy backs; she WILL destroy private insurance; she WILL continue to use the legal and justice system to squash opponents; she WILL NOT fix the border she never visited; she WILL attack parental rights; she WILL NOT bring peace to any conflict; she WILL raise taxes on the middle class; she WILL push more industry out of the country; and she WILL bring us closer to global war through her continued nasally weakness. And don’t think for one moment that being the first “black woman” president will ease racial tensions – they WILL get worse.

Other than that, if I understand it correctly, should Harris win the next election, we will finally be unburdened from the past and there will be joy.

Has anyone got an extra vomit bag?

My Thoughts on the Latest Trump Indictment

Here we go again.

The first thing I want to ask is this: Does anyone even remember what made them hate Donald Trump in the first place? It’s been so long; I would venture to guess that most people have forgotten and have just become accustomed to a daily desire to see him crucified.

The second thing I want to ask is this: What did Donald Trump ever do to you to hate him so much? Seriously, there may be a few people in the country who’ve gotten into disagreements with President Trump and cannot forgive him for some reason. I mean, seriously, he was a New York businessman, the one who “fired” people on national television – some people loved him; some hated him; most just didn’t care.

Third, what did Donald Trump do so bad that it’s worth pursuing any and every hint of a wrongdoing, not to mention a punishable crime, in order to finally destroy him (and by “destroy” I do mean it literally)? What other people in this world have garnered so much long-term hatred and persistent attacks? Anyone? Bueler? Anyone?

Fourth, aside from what the radical Hollywood type, the sexually-perverse, and the baby aborters claim, what harm has President Trump done to anyone in the country, especially the average Joe, by keeping documents at his residence? How far will the claim that “no one is above the law, not even a President” be applied in the future?

Every claim that the Left has made until now has either been shown to be made up, exaggerated, or a flat-out lie meant to drum up rage. NOTHING has stuck to President Trump because there was nothing sticky. How are we really expected to believe that this last attempt to arrest Trump is based on a Scout-honoring, moral-high-groundish, damned-if-we-don’t kind of ethic?

Who is being arrested and prosecuted for creating false documents, false narratives, false accusations, and FAKE NEWS in order to remove a sitting President? What is wrong with this picture? Since we are ALL human, dig deep enough and search far enough and all of us will be found guilty of something, if only intent. However, there have got to be a dozen people guilty of treasonous and scandalous federal crimes against our nation AND the President who are getting off Scott free in the pursuit of ANYTHING unscrupulous in Donald Trump’s entire life!

So, what if Trump is guilty and found to be so? In the meantime, why shouldn’t the American people rise up in righteous anger? We the People did NOT want this charade of justice to go on and on and on like this, and we certainly didn’t want our President to be constantly maligned in front of the world for eight years!

So, to make things fair, starting with ANY Kennedy, Clinton, Obama, and especially Biden who was/is associated with the White House, each Democrat should have a special investigator allotted unlimited funds to scour the hidden their hidden records, search their underwear drawers, and pay their ex-boyfriends and girlfriends to talk about what led to their breaking up.

That’s my thoughts. What’s yours?

It’s Not a Platitude: God Is Still in Control

The events of this week led me to change what I was going to speak on Wednesday evening. I hope you will take the time to hear what God put on my heart.

As an added bonus, my sister plays the piano and sings an original piece to start things off.

He’ll Listen to the Science

Lately, it’s been both a jab and a stinging response, the punchline of President Trump’s that’s become sort of a campaign slogan for Joe Biden: “He’ll listen to the science.”

Trump’s point is that Biden will make decisions based on bad science from bad scientists; Biden’s point is that Trump doesn’t care about scientific facts.

In my opinion, neither their arguments are going to make much of a difference right now. However, there’s a much more disturbing truth to the statement that, if Biden really does “listen to the science,” could potentially lead us down a very dark and sinister path.

Which Science?

To be fair to President Trump, it’s not that he doesn’t listen to science, it’s that he listens to the science he believes.

Stop for a moment and think about what is really meant when we use the word science. Science is NOT truth. Science is NOT immutable. Science is NOT determined by consensus (or vote). Scientific data CAN be interpreted differently.

When a person says he will listen to science, what exactly does that mean? Let us not forget the facts of “science” have often changed. Consider this tiny list of examples:

  • The coming ice age
  • The earth is flat
  • Piltdown Man
  • The benefits of smoking
  • Bloodletting

So, it’s certainly forgivable and understandable for the President to question certain scientists and listen to others. What proof does Biden have that his scientific advisors are infallible?

The More Serious Question

But what really scares me is that Joe Biden says that yes, he WILL listen to science. And based on what I’ve already heard and read, if current science (or should I say, “scientists”) believe it or promote it, then that’s all ol’ Joe needs. Listening means acquiescing.

Therefore, even if the “science” proves valid, what of the ethics? What of the morality? That’s the serious question.

Already it’s been announced that – because of science – Biden will make all sports and restrooms accessible to transgender and gender-fluid students. Because of science, abortion will be allowed far beyond any previous limitations. And based on the scientific advisors around him, Biden will more than likely impose a national mask mandate and mandatory shutdowns.

Disturbing? Yes! Because if all it takes to enact public policy is the consensus of politically motivated scientists, then what is out of the question? What moral or ethical line is out of bounds?

What freedoms are on the chopping block?

My Initial Thoughts On the 2020 Election Results

You have your opinions. I have mine.

It is hard to believe that I live in America. By that I mean it is hard to believe that the America I grew up with – one where people were patriotic, respected the office of leaders, and never considered sabotaging the whole electoral system – is the one in which people are so divided and the party platforms are so morally different.

Now that I think about it, there was a time when this country was equally divided, even more so, and that was a time when we took up arms to kill our brothers at the other end of our carbines and canon. Some have said that’s where we are headed once more. I hope not.

But I wonder, without scouring the history books (that haven’t been revised by modern liberals), I wonder if the people of our nation back in the 1860’s were as angry, manipulative, disrespectful, self-serving, God-hating, perverse, and vindictive as they are today? I kinda doubt it.

I mean, from the history that I’ve read, both the North and the South had men and women of honor and principle who differed to the point of war, but did so with integrity. How else did we become the most powerful nation on Earth? A nation that could never move past a political defeat, or even a military one, could never later unify as a patriotic people to defeat the Nazis, the Imperial Japanese, and even the Russia of the Cold War.

So, for four years after an embarrassing and unexpected defeat, the Democrat Party and RINOs (Republican In Name Only) have done nothing but seethe with anger and resentment for President Trump and have sought, through any means necessary, to undermine the President, even at the expense of the American people.

The reason we are where we are today is not because of differing ideologies or political worldviews. The reason we are in the shape we are in this very moment, a state of utter confusion and distrust of the political and electoral system, is not because Donald Trump talked dirty in a locker room or tweeted something “un-presidential.”

The reason we are boarding up our stores, banks, pharmacies, and places of worship is not because we are being invaded by an army of locusts or facing down the barrel of a Cat5 hurricane.

The reason we are in this mess the day after the election is not because President Trump colluded with a foreign power, was an inept leader, or that he has been the worst and most embarrassing president ever.

The REAL reason we are where we are today, right this moment, is because an uninformed, maliciously-educated, biblically-illiterate electorate was lied to, mislead, manipulated, used as pawns, incited, and incentivized by a perennially-corrupt, morally-bankrupt, socially-manipulative, traitorous main-stream media whose sole purpose for the last four years has been to overturn the election of a man they knew would not push forward a socialistic, barbaric, evil, “progressive” agenda.

There is NO reason, other than because of fomented hatred for the current President, that a sane, informed, patriotic, educated, God-fearing public would vote to have a bona fide corrupt politician with cognitive disabilities, along with Che Guevara’s dream groupie, lead them!

If the main-stream news media, along with the supporting entertainment industry, both nothing more than extensions of the Democrat Party, would have given credit where credit is due, then a three-time Nobel Prize-nominated, promise-keeping, job-creating, peace deal making President would have no problem getting re-elected. But all the average person hears is “Orange Man Bad!”

Mark my words, the media that will side so heavily with one party to corrupt the perceptions of the general populace in order to secure power and force a corrupt and immoral agenda will find no security in the eventual government they hope to bring about.

If you set a trap for others, you will get caught in it yourself. If you roll a boulder down on others, it will crush you instead. A lying tongue hates its victims, and flattering words cause ruin. – Proverbs 26:27-28 NLT

That’s my opinion, and I’m sticking to it.

Apologize For What, Exactly?

He Won’t Apologize!

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing: CNN reported that Trump would not apologize after being acquitted. I literally laughed out loud and asked, “Why would he?!”

Seriously, if you think I’m joking, here’s a screen shot I took of the headline…

Say what you want, but if I was one who was accused of something I swore I didn’t do, why would I stand in front of the world after I was acquitted and say I’m sorry for doing what I previously swore I didn’t do? If they wanted to paint Trump as insane, that would have been a good time to do it, because that would have been crazy!

Accused and Reminded

But as soon as I heard about this story and the stupidity of it all, I couldn’t help but think of what Satan does to you and me: he accuses, then he reminds.

The name “Satan” means “accuser.” That’s what he does all the time; he accuses us of all kinds of things, maybe even things we’ve done. Thankfully, one day he will be “cast down” and won’t be able to keep up the accusations.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. – Revelation 12:10

But Satan not only accuses us before the Judge, he tries to make us feel guilty for things for which we’ve already been forgiven. He wakes us up in the middle of the night, or puts something in our paths that will trigger a flashback of some sin we did, and then he revels in making us feel guilty and dirty all over again.

“You call yourself a Christian?” he’ll ask. “Then why did you do that?” “What makes you think God would really forgive you? How do you even know you’ve been forgiven?” And then, like what you did was just yesterday, you feel sick, nasty, and afraid God might not love you as much as He promised.

Before long we find ourselves begging God to forgive us for something long forgiven, questioning His Word, or else we feel too ashamed to even believe we can be forgiven, then wind up doubting our salvation.

Justified!

Folks, if Trump doesn’t think he did anything wrong, why on earth would anyone expect him to get in front of the cameras of his accusers and apologize?

But for you and I, what a joy it is – or should be – to know full well that what we have been accused of, we were guilty! Yet, through faith in Jesus Christ and His substitutionary atonement, we are not only forgiven, but we are JUSTIFIED (acquitted) by grace!

  • Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: – Romans 3:24
  • Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: … Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. – Romans 5:1, 9

So, if the Devil’s CNN ever questions you about some sin you may have committed in the past, some sin that might get God to change His mind about acquitting you, remind them that whatever they are trying, it won’t work:

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, – Romans 8:1 CSB

You’ve been acquitted!
