The REAL Reason for Abortion (and it has nothing to do with the health of the mother)

Not long ago, a story came out on FoxNews.com entitled “Women’s rights groups support late-term abortion, despite public outcry“.  In that story, the CEO of Planned Parenthood Empire State Acts (a New York lobbying and advocacy group for Planned Parenthood), Robin Chappelle Golston, is quoted as stating the following during a celebration of New York’s new law:

We cannot overstate how important it is for all New Yorkers to have the ability to control their own bodies and determine their own destinies… ” Robin Chappelle Golston

I would like to dissect Robin Golston’s statement in an effort to answer a simple question: “What is the real reason behind such support for abortion?”

UPDATE: The photos I had posted above were blocked by Facebook.

The above photos were captured from the Planned Parenthood Empire State Acts’ Facebook page, and both show the satisfaction and intense emotions attached to the signing of the new abortion law in New York by Gov. Andrew Cuomo. If you remember, even iconic New York City buildings were lit with pink light the same night.

So why all the smiles? Why all the celebration?

Now, to keep it fair, I went to the Facebook page of the woman in the middle of the lower picture – her name is Francis Fox-Pizzonia. She has posted articles saying all this third-trimester, baby-killing, infanticide talk is nothing more than scare tactics, and that nobody is going around happy and frivolous when they make the serious personal choice to abort.

However, the somber, serious tones of caring seem to ring hollow when I watch a video like the one below (WARNING: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE AND ADULT CONTENT):

If you actually had the strong stomach to watch the whole disgusting thing, did you listen to the little song at the end? Did you listen to her “prayer”? She said toward the end:

“I stand in my power… I’m grateful for the power I have to create and destroy with love. I have agency over my life and my body and my world.”

If you go to the website where the above video was published (ShoutYourAbortion.com), what you will see is a very common theme that runs through the titles of other stories women have shared. Some of the titles include:

  • “IT WAS A DECISION THAT ALLOWED ME CONTROL OF MY LIFE AND SAVED ME FROM A LIFE OF POVERTY”
  • “WE NEVER WANTED CHILDREN”
  • “MY HUSBAND AND I SIMPLY WANT TO BE CHILD FREE”
  • “I CAN SEE THAT I BELONG TO A TRADITION OF RESISTANCE AND BODY AUTONOMY”
  • “OUR LIVES WERE DEVASTATINGLY DIFFICULT TO MANAGE AT THAT TIME, I CANNOT EVEN FATHOM HOW MUCH MORE DIFFICULT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HAD I CONTINUED…”
  • “MY ABORTION WAS GOOD FOR ME AND MY FAMILY”

What is the theme of which I speak?

Oh, it’s found in the words of that sentence I was going to dissect in the first place, remember?

“…to have the ability to control their own bodies and determine their own destinies…”

You see, abortion has very little to do with the actual life of a mother – as in whether or not having the baby will kill her. What it is really about, what really drives the floats in the parade

(again, WARNING: EXPLICIT LANGUAGE AND CONTENT)

… is the selfish, one-sided, egotistic, pride-centered desire for women to have the ability to control their own bodies and determine their own destinies… despite the rights of others.

Abortion, unless done in an effort to legitimately save the life of the mother (not spare her from mental, emotional, or financial stress) is the pre-determined trampling of another’s rights and the taking of another’s life in order to further one’s own self-determined goals… which is nothing short of a violation of human rights and nothing less than first-degree murder.

Unless, of course, the fetus is nothing more than a “clump of cells,” a “spark,” a “tumor,” a “parasite,” or a “mistake.”

But if it’s a BABY…if it’s a PERSON…

For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. – Luke 1:44
I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou [art] my God from my mother’s belly. – Psalm 22:10

Unfiltered Thoughts (Trump, Iran, Planned Parenthood)

My Mouth

It may come as a total shock to some of you, but I have a history of getting myself into trouble when I speak too quickly. My wife has said that when I die she is going to have the following words etched on my tombstone: “I can’t believe he actually said that.”

Yes, I can get myself into situations which may require an apology, or at least a re-phrasing of a previous comment. But hey, that’s OK. I’d rather have people sit a little on edge when I speak than never pay any attention at all.

Donald Trump

One thing about Donald Trump, if nothing else: he refuses to be intimidated. Maybe that’s why I have a hard time disliking him. Will I vote for him for president? Probably not. However, politics – life in general – would benefit from more people speaking without industrial-strength filters cleansing their speech of everything offensive. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if people would just say what they mean and mean what they say?

So many are afraid of letting Mr. Trump speak out with regards to immigration, the economy, and the military. They are afraid his “tone” is making things worse, that is actually offensive. Frankly, having someone speak his mind without fear or intimidation is like a breath of fresh air. It’s the silver-tonged politicians who lie out of the both sides of their mouths that scare me.

My advice to Donald Trump is to just keep doing what he is doing, especially if it makes people in Washington uncomfortable.

Iran

Unless you are simply not paying attention, Iran is now going to become a nuclear-armed terrorist nation, thanks to an agreement that was written by the equivalent of worn-out parents of spoiled toddlers.

I have no respect for our President and John Kerry. None. Period. Nada. These guys are going around praising a nuclear agreement that goes against any and all logic, unless, of course, you’re an enemy of Israel, America, and democracy world-wide. There used to be a day when America was feared and respected, even if she wasn’t liked. However, our current leadership has made the great United States of America a laughing stock in the eyes of those who seek our demise.

Just my “unfiltered” thoughts, that’s all.

Planned Parenthood

And speaking of “unfiltered,” I want to speak honestly to the folks at Planned Parenthood, along with the people that adore that satanic entity: there is a hell.

If you are not aware of the recent video that surfaced, a video showing a senior official at Planned Parenthood casually discussing selling the parts of aborted babies, then click on THIS LINK and prepare to be disgusted. Planned Parenthood can try to explain this away all they want, but the fact remains: they kill babies and sell their body parts.

Jesus didn’t filter His words, either, especially when it came to people like this. He said:

And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and [that] he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” – Matthew 18:5-6

Did you get that? Jesus – yes, Jesus – had harsh words for those who harm or deceive children. He made it clear that what awaits them, one day, is going to be far worse than having a 2-ton stone tied to their neck and tossed into the ocean. I wonder what He thinks of those who chop them up for profit?

Well, there you have it: my unfiltered thoughts on today’s news. I feel a little better.

Arguing for Infanticide?

WARNING! The following subject may be unsuitable for some people. If you support abortion you will probably be offended, so just go click something on the Huffington Post’s website. If not that, go watch a video of Bill Mayer bashing Christians, or something. Just understand, this is a WARNING from a pro-life Christian that what I am about to say will not make Planned Parenthood supporters very happy.

(Maybe we’ll get to some more lighthearted posts next week.)

Post-Birth Abortion?

What I am about to share with you goes beyond anything I’ve ever seen. Even those of you who are “pro-choice” should recognize that a line dividing humanity from devils is being crossed.

The video you are about to watch is not new, but it shows a woman by the name of Alisa LaPolt Snow, a lobbyist representing the Florida Alliance of Planned Parenthood Affiliates, defending the murder living, breathing, pain-feeling, on-the-table-kicking babies. I recently saw this on a Facebook post and decided I had to comment.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=qEv1afKaLhA

It’s Murder

I don’t know how else to define taking the life of a living, breathing, baby but cold-blooded murder. There is no other sensible way to describe it.

And you know what, dear readers, it doesn’t matter a hill of beans what circumstances surround the birth or what may potentially come of the child in question. None of us know what tomorrow holds, so since it is possible we might end up in a vegetative state after a car accident, should we just go ahead and commit suicide? Who are we, then, to commit murder based on what type of life a child may or may not have in the future?

The final questioning in this video had to do with whether or not an abortion doctor should be required to provide transportation to a medical facility for a baby born alive. All Ms. Snow could say was “what if it’s 45 minutes away?”

God help us, people! How calloused can we be?! How could people just sit there with no emotion as a blooming idiot representing Planned Parenthood could deny she knows what happens in an abortion clinic? How could they not rise up with indignation and throw her out of the court room when she admits the thought of the baby actually being the patient was something she had not considered, but was worthy of further discussion?!!

But, you know, why should we criticize Alisa LaPolt Snow and Planned Parenthood? They are, after all, only following in the steps of the great universal health care provider himself, President Obama. Consider the following audio from the Illinois State Senate in 2003. Here Senator Obama makes essentially the same argument as Ms. Snow, but much more eloquently.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUkbuhXzbvI&feature=player_embedded

The sad fact is that a fetus outside the womb is a baby. If that baby is breathing and moving, it is alive. The question of “viability” is no longer part of the equation. To let it die, or to kill it, is without question, except in the mind of those who desire no accountability, murder.

Again, God help us.
