A Week of Blah (Health Update)
I have been feeling under the weather (sick) for most of the week. I went to the doctor just to make sure that I did not have the flue (or Coronavirus), and the test was negative. I just had a bad case of an acute stomach virus or food poisoning. That was good news, especially considering I was determined to speak at a funeral service on Thursday.
However, for the rest of the week I have been wiped out – no energy, thirsty, little appetite, and no desire for coffee (yeah, something’s really wrong). Every time I get up to do anything, I feel like I need to sit back down. It’s been miserable.
But then I read a news story that injected some adrenalin into my veins and animated my limbs (at least my fingers). I knew I had to say something, the sooner the better. Anger overcame lethargy.
Florida Church Hires a Wolf
The headline of the story read like this: “Florida church members split after ‘registered sex offender’ returns to preach“.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? What kind of idiots would do such a thing? Are they stupid? Crazy?
No, actually, they are probably like so many other Christians who believe the right thing to do is forgive, and they’ve likely never experienced the fangs of a predator within their flock. Or, maybe they’re just the stick-a-fork-in-a-socket kind of dumb.

A Must Read – Seriously!
The Amazon link may show a different cover, but this is the book.Dear friends, wherever you are, I beg of you…I plead with you!.. order this book by Dr. Anna C Salter. My wife and I were given a copy several years ago by a family counselor who was tasked with helping us heal from the wounds of a sexual predator. As we read it, we both became physically ill, not simply from the content, but how we had been duped by a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
The reason why I became so angry when I read the story of how Mt. Ararat Baptist Church in Jacksonville hired a convicted sex offender is that they evidently don’t know what they are dealing with! They’ve never read a book like this! If they had, this guy’s name would have never been considered, not even for an outside gutter sweeper!
Tell Me, Why?
I don’t know what they used for justification, but those who suggested Rev. Darrell Gilyard as a candidate for pastor should be tarred and feathered for furthering the endangerment of children and women. His name should have never even been considered!
So, why is it that he was picked? Why did anyone vote him in? I can only guess, and here are a few that come to mind:
- He’s a great, powerful preacher; he’s gonna have his weaknesses.
- He never really did any of the things he was accused of or found guilty of. All were simply misunderstandings.
- He did commit a horrible sin, but that was in 2009, and he has paid his debt to society. Are we to still treat him like he’s a criminal?
- God is the God of second chances.
- If Jesus Christ forgave him for his sin, then who are we to hold it over him?
- He may have done those things in the past, but he is a changed man, now.
But let me tell you how it really is and should be (If you’re the soft-hearted type that can’t stand the sight of blood, look away; it’s going to get brutal.)
Reality
Sex offenders, rapists, pedophiles, and child molesters are predators. They do not change. They are never reformed. They will always have a taste for prey.
Oh, I know what some of you are thinking. You are shocked that a good-ole Baptist preacher like me would claim anyone is beyond the saving grace and changing power of the blood of Jesus Christ, right? Well, that’s not what I’m saying.
God can change anyone. Period. If the Word of God is true (and I believe it is), if anyone repents and accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior, he will become a new creature: a born-again individual with a new nature that seeks to please God, not the flesh (2 Cor. 5:17).
But how do you typically know when people have been changed by God, saved by His grace, given a new heart, etc.? Their testimony.
In other words, by their words and their works they testify to the change that has taken place. And who doesn’t love a good testimony story, amen?
The only problem is that every predator that infiltrates a church usually does it with a GREAT testimony. Then, before long, he/she is put in a place of authority with access to all the victims he wants, even if he has to groom them a little while before he feasts.
In the news video from Chanel 4 in Jacksonville, one of the pastor’s supporters (James Andrews) said something very telling. He said, “I forgave him.”
Stop and think about that for just a moment, would you? What did this man have to forgive him for? What did Darrell Gilyard do to him? What does his forgiveness have to do with anything, really?
The first news story I read referenced another in which Gilyard was asked if he thought he’d changed.
“Of course I believe I have changed. But time will tell everyone if I have changed,” Gilyard told First Coast News in 2014. “I’m a believer in when you do something wrong, you pay the price. But do you pay the price forever?”
What the Hades?!! Is he really that ignorant? He evidently thinks we are.
- The predator doesn’t tell the prey he is dangerous.
- Time is not a luxury any church can afford when it comes to this.
- Anna Salter interviewed a young deacon (only in his 20’s) who had been convicted of sexually molesting a young boy in his youth group. Before he was arrested for that, he was accused of other things, but he cleverly picked children with histories of lying, so no one believed them. By the time he was put away, he voluntarily confessed to 95 other victims. What did time tell?
- Yes, for some things you DO pay the price forever. The girls you molested certainly will. And have you ever heard of Hell?
- For the safety of your children, you can NEVER, EVER trust a convicted sex offender. Never. No second chances. None.
What Now?
So, what would I do if I were in the shoes of the folk there at Mt. Ararat Baptist? First, I would immediately fire Mr. Gilyand. I would not even allow him to preach a good-bye sermon. He had no business – NONE – even being behind the pulpit according to the books of Timothy and Titus.
After getting rid of Mr. Gilyand, the congregation of Mt. Ararat needs to re-evaluate what it was that made them approve of hiring a wolf to lead them, then repent and ask forgiveness from God. After that, never let the same people serve on any search committee again.
For everyone else, especially if you are a church leader, order Predators: Pedophiles, Rapists, & Other Sex Offenders: Who They Are, How They Operate, and How We Can Protect Ourselves and Our Children, by Anna C Salter, Ph.D.

The Recovering Legalist 
Wow. You sure went into the deep on this one. We put in an open door policy and a No adult alone with a child policy so that there was an expectation. That said, anyone can find a way.. Making things more difficult for harm to come to someone makes simple pragmatic sense.
Windows in Doors. Human Hall monitors. No one drives kids home without another adult in the vehicle. Parents must attend outings. No overnights without parents. Stuff like that.

But everyone has a drive for sex. That drops off as we get older. Still, its part of what drives people to marry or to date. The issue is when someone cannot contain themselves and seeks to manipulate someone or force someone.

I happened to work right beside a gay man who was a child predator. God without me realizing it gave me words.. And I had no Idea who he was… But he was convicted before, and convicted after and happened to be working with handicapped kids when i met him. Trevor Man was his name. his Son actually told me that he was a child predator and a Police officer friend of mine confirmed it.
The guy was doing charity work for the physically and mentally disabled when I happened to work with him. Oh the joy.

In our case, Richard Scot Batson was his name. I have no doubt that when he is finally released from prison he will find a new church in a new town and start all over. He will be the hardest-working, friendliest, most supportive church member you can imagine. And part of the reason will be some pastor who believes we should put his sins in the past and remember them no more and give him full access to the flock.

I see both sides. Even the filthy are people. While we need to protect our people, unfortunately that includes the filthy because of the mercy of the cross.

If we talk about keeping distance, which we do, for our loved ones sake, Jesus does the same thing with us, for his holy sake. There is no benefit for him to associate with our dirty insides either. Its just a matter of degrees.
I just dealt with a nasty lady who used the past abuses toward me as a means to say that I needed sympathy and was in need of accommodation because of my sickness or brokenness. I told her to blow it out her ear. I am just fine. And while such dirty judgmental condescending conversations attempting to put people on trial, always judging so she can be better than me should condemn her.
I will bet, God will pardon her. And likely God will pardon many sex offenders too. And if we have grace, he will pardon us as he has and allow us to participate in an everlasting kingdom without end.

Are you suggesting that David, Samson, Moses …even you… were sexual predators? Because that’s what your response would indicate to me if you understood what I was saying.

You know Abraham basically farmed out his own wife so that he wouldn’t be killed cause she was good looking.
Even in the New testament there was a guy having relations with his fathers new wife. And they let him back in church after he recovered.
When I speak of me, or You. We all sought to be married because of a sexual drive. I know over the last 35 years it has been less and less. But without it one might not even look at a women. The trouble is not worth it in many cases in this environment.
Targeting children is a whole area of sin and demented behaviour that is not excusable but that does not mean they cannot be saved.
The Idea of me first at the expense of others and praying on weak people describes every CEO and to some degree every leader in the world. People boss others around and push their way all the time. The fact that its on children sexually is only part of the point. Parents squash children in the ground emotionally such that they cut themselves to feel escape. Acting against the vulnerable is a big issue. Judges do it all the time squashing people. Yes, children are the most vulnerable but we are speaking about the heart of the perverted. There is more perverted bents to control or get ones way than just just in sex. When you break it down its actually several factors. The sickness is in every mind to some degree. The world is sicker than people realize. Yes, we protect our children, but the problem is bigger than wolves praying on children.
The whole Idea for example of a sugar daddy is the Idea that some chick will use her body to get money. The guy really is a fool and he is a lunch ticket. The same sort of bent is in those women that is found in a child predator. It just gets more real when there is divorces and black widows. Then you see people run, commit insurance fraud, clean out house before others get home etc. They look at the other person and roll right over them and get what they want. The victims are older but the bent is the same.

How do you conflate adultery with child molestation? How do you equate acquiring hundreds of wives and concubines through legally and culturally accepted means with predatory behavior? Yes, Samson was sexually promiscuous, but do we read anywhere where he took an 8-year-old bride like Mohamed? And how in the world does having 4 wives in that period of time rank on the same level as a predator?

Seriously? Yes, that was a faithless and stupid thing for Abraham to do, and God chastised him for it. But, again, how does that equate with being a predator? It doesn’t.

Big problem, here. On several levels, actually. The passage you are referring to talks about a man who was living in gross sin with his father’s wife (stepmother). The church was patting itself on the back because they were so tolerant by letting him be part of them. However, Paul became furious and told them to kick the guy out UNTIL HE REPENTED. This was not a sickness, this was blatant sin with a particular woman! He did not “recover,” he turned from his sin, repented, and only then was he allowed back into fellowship. This is nothing like allowing a sex-offender back into fellowship. Totally different.

Here we have a problem of miscommunication or misunderstanding: I never said a sexual predator could never be saved. Frankly, I went out of my way and put in LARGE PRINT the very opposite. God can and will save ANYONE who repents and believes in Jesus Christ, including the worst of the worst. Paul made that perfectly clear.

I just don’t know how you can equate these things the way you do. Is all sin worthy of condemnation? Yes, in the light of God’s holiness. However, not even God prescribes the same temporal punishments for all sins; the more egregious in nature, the worse the punishment.

I’m honestly out of time and have to get to some other things, but I can only imagine how some people who might read your last paragraph would view it as “victim-shaming” in the very least. I think what you are actually doing is making one particular, horrible, monstrous sin sound less offensive by equating it in nature with other non-sexual sins.
We are all sinners, that is for sure. And even though we all may have a bent to sin, we are not all guilty of yielding to those temptations. And when it comes specifically to those who have sexually preyed upon children, even though God can save them, their unique characteristic is to fake their conversion, put on the clothing of the prey, and work their way into the flock. Therefore, unlike the adulterer or corrupt businessman, when a child molester claims to be a changed person, they can NEVER be fully trusted. The risk is too great.

Why? 1. Because he was tight with SBC leadership. They used him to refute racism claims.
2. The black community (to who he now preaches) is far more forgiving of that specific crime and because of their own experiences with LE, they are very willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

As best as I can tell, Mt. Ararat is not SBC, so I’m unsure how your first point would apply.
Your second point, however, is one which I’ve heard straight from the source. I’ve been told by black women that black pastors are “just men.” At the risk of sounding racist (because I’m white talking about black churches), there seems to be a dualism within the religious black community. From what I’ve observed, the spirit and the flesh are often given separate but equal standing, the result being very religious people, but very permissible people – and without a self-observable hypocrisy (i.e., he can be an awesome preacher on Sunday, yet have a reputation with the ladies through the week). Is this universal throughout the whole black Church? Of course not. But I do believe wherever Black Liberation Theology has been taught or its influence has been felt, there you will find this dualism.

Daryl was protected and promoted in the SBC for many years. Paige Patterson was his mentor and ran interference for him for years.
In my opinion, Paige was just using him as a token to say, “See, we aren’t racist.”
So while he isn’t in the SBC now, the SBC created and harbored him. From it’s highest positions he received cover.
What he did was horrible. But one of the girls was 16, one 14.
It’s bad, but it’s less bad than say, being a pedophile raping 3 year olds.

Please forgive me if I come across wrong (you can’t hear my tone), but for an IFB’er, you seem to have a lot of inside information on the SBC folk. Were you a secret agent? A spy?
You do know that Coronavirus has slowed down my reception of sermons from Nashville, don’t you? I have no idea what I’m going to be preaching this week! 😉
But, honestly, the thing you said about the ages of the girls and pedophilia is what really worries and saddens me. You see, I was told the girl Richard Scot Batson had sex with was 17, but she wasn’t. I was told it was a one-time thing, but it wasn’t. I thought he had just made a stupid mistake with a messed up teen, so he wouldn’t be a real threat to children. It’s not like he raped a toddler or elementary student; she was nearly an adult…he wasn’t a REAL pedophile. But he WAS.
This man’s record of allegations, especially his convictions, should have been more than a red flag. And as for me, if there’s been even one provable case of sexual abuse with a minor, I will give no quarter, no second chance.
Just talking about this stirs up thoughts of extreme violence towards Mr. Batson. I guess I should move on. But I do, as always, appreciate your comments.

I was raised in the SBC and my little brother was molested by a male music leader who was friends with my stepbrother at Sanford University.
I don’t have to tell you what kind of problems molestation can manifest, especially in a situation like that. So by the 8th grade that cr*p was in my radar.
When I was a teen, our church choir director was arrested for raping boys at the local juvenile reform school. I was 16 years old and I knew just from watching the guy that he was gay. He was practically having a drag show every Sunday morning.
I used to sit there at age 16 and think, “I do not have any faith in anyone in this over 2000-person congregation.”
All of that sparked my interest in things of that nature (churches knowing and covering up abuse).
Also, my father was very vocal and peripherally involved in the fight against liberal SBCer’s trying to destroy the SBC in the 80’s. So I was exposed to a lot of literature from SBC sources and it was an interesting battle. (My father was a huge supporter of Dr. Bailey Smith.)
I’m an IFB now but that was a choice made as an adult. And to be honest, it would be just as easy to discuss sex abuse covered up by IFB’s. I think the main difference is that a lot of the abuse in IFBism was covered up on a local level whereas (in my opinion) the SBC could have acted much sooner to identify predators in their churches and disseminate that information.
The SBC had the communications network in place to do that, the convention just decided not to.
My position on pedophiles vs hebephiles vs ephebophiles is that it’s all evil.
But the pedophile is, to my way of thinking, the worst of those.

You have my respect. Thanks for sharing. Keep this in mind, too…I was IFB until ‘95 when I was ordained. I knew literally nothing of SBC history.
But what I guess is a little self defeating is that when I got accepted at New Orleans, I dropped out before the end of the 3rd week! I just didn’t see myself as part of the SBC fraternity, so to speak. I guess I’m still independent by nature, yet I wholly support the mission of the SBC.
I don’t like our current President, though. I plan on voting against him in Orlando this June.

Just deplorable. Common sense does not get thrown out the window when we become Christians. How many children we are responsible for and that we can protect and choose not to. As a survivor, this has been my life-long journey.

Wow!!! Although, I am one who will often say he who is without sin cast the 1st stone. In this instance, I am both shocked and scared for those wonderful women he will be at best tempted by. In my church, anyone dealing in any leadership (childcare or adult) must pass a background check before working with anyone under 21. Now, in my past, I am a victim of sexual abuse and it started from before I was even 3 and went until I was finally believed at 14. So, I get the challenges these abused little ones will have. I am afraid to even let my friend’s grandkids hug me because their parents are addicts who may get a hair out of alignment on a high one day. We live in seriously deceptive times. We need to make sure our children are safe.

It’s not rare for a male past the age of puberty to find a 16 year old female attractive.
Compare that to anyone past puberty being attracted to a baby or a toddler.
I’m not saying what DG did was ok. It’s not by any means.

I’m sorry, not rare? Ha! Let’s go with universal. The deniers are lying. Hence the term “jailbait.”
But yes, there are guys who are sitting in jail for statutory rape who were just 18 when the had sex with a 16-year old (The letter of the law, not the spirit). Is it likely those guys would find a 5th-grader attractive? Not usually. Who knows what happens after prison?
But I will also posit that “attractiveness” isn’t the sole reason for a predator to pursue children. I would say there’s an animalistic thrill that comes from “the kill,” much like the way a cat treats its prey. One of the thrills Batson got was doing what he did right under my nose without me knowing. He got his kicks knowing that I, the pastor who prayed with him for months and months, the one who believed he was being misjudged, was actually pulling the wool over my naive eyes. And he, like DG, only had 1 official conviction up until then, and that was with his foster daughter of 17.

Protecting our children who cannot protect themselves and who do not have the capacity mentally or the power physically to protect themselves are our responsibility first. So while it might hurt a child molesters feelings, that is too bad. But we have a duty of protection to the children first, and those who hurt them are promised, that it would be better if a millstone had been hung on their neck etc.. They don’t realize whats coming to them. It would have been a lesser tragedy for them.

Still, God does not play with sin. Deuteronomy 28 pretty well shows that as does the global flood and Sodom etc. One clear one is the snakes in the wilderness. When the people grumbled. Yep, just grumbled, he started wiping them out. And of course the Golden Calf. Well, God started to wipe people out. He said to Moses, step aside so I can wipe them out. Moses asked to have his name blotted out of the book instead and God cooled his jets.
God will wipe the world out with Fire. Not just for the child molesters. There is this view that they are bad real bad, but the stuff I do is excusable. Maybe in Sodom when he rained down fire and brimstone from heaven, bigger rocks fell on the child molesters and medium sized rocks fell on the homosexuals, and only smaller rocks fell on the gossips and those who cant be told what to do just turned into stone, who knows. Getting hit head on while crossing the free way by a car, a transport or a freight train still ends you up in the morgue.

To me its not about the size of the sin, but the heart toward God, but protecting children is besides that point. It would simply be better to have some sort of alternative church setting for Sex offenders to go to where there is no children, not doubting their desire to serve God, but doubting their ability to control their desires in other areas.

– Judah who had sex with a prostitute who was actually his past wife of his Son who died.
– Lots daughters date raped their father.
– Reuben had sex with one of his fathers concubines.
– Amnon Raped his sister Tamar.
– Absalon had sex with his Dad Davids concubines.
– David used his position of power to basically rape another guys wife and then take her as his wife and then killed him by sending him to the front line.
– When Noah was drunk, there is a suggestion in the Talmud that Ham did something to Noah, possibly sodomized him.

The heart is desperately wicked, who can know it. We forget when God told Moses to set up barriers to the mountain so that people would not go up on it and God would break out against them. People play pretty in church but its not pretty, and others look down their noses when the church is a place, a red cross of sorts for the wounded. Isaiah 61 is for everyone even the child molester. Still we protect our children while being happy for their new freedom and road to a more fuller recovery. A recovery that will just have to happen just a little farther down the street.

I am a survivor, of a brutal, all night gang rape by three RCC priests. Since 2007? I have worked three blogs, Rape Victims of the Catholic Church, Voices from the Grave:Suicide Victims of the Roman Catholic Church and now? This blog that I am doing now. I also worked with the late, great Kathy Shaw of Bishops Accountability’s Abuse Tracker blog. I ran three groups on Facebook, until the Christians who hated those groups? Got me banned. Ministers Who Rape Children was really hated by the Protestant Christians and I got numerous death threats on my Rape Victims of the Roman Catholic Church group.
One thing I have learned in all of this? Christians do not care really about their pedophiles. They are too busy? Going after lgbts and abortionists to give a damn about their pedophiles.
As far as I am concerned? Christians call for the brutal murders of lgbts? We should be calling for the same for all their Christian pedophiles.
I would tell ya, honestly this is NO exaggeration or BS, I have reported on? Over 100,000 Christian pedophiles priests and pastors from ALL the denominations of Christianity.

I’m truly sorry for what you’ve gone through. I’m truly sorry for the impression you’ve gotten of Christian pastors. I’m also sorry that yes, many folk are so focused on other issues without focusing more on pedophile issues. However, from my experience, many well-meaning people are simply ignorant or deceived. It’s hard for them to believe predators can be that deceptive and evil and still come across as wonderful people.
For the record, I don’t call for the brutal murder of LGBT’s. However, I believe pedophiles should get the death penalty.

The reason I got the impression of Christian pastors I have? Because since 2007? I have been reporting on all their pedophiles. And? Their Christian Pastors of Hate and Death. And hundreds of thousands of stories about Christians committing mass murder, mass genocides, persecutions of others. Hell, your whole religion is built upon mass genocides, mass slaughters and forced conversion programs and it is far past time? YOU Christians realize this and accept it as truth.
I’ve spent over 40 years studying Christianity, all your wars, all your Inquisitions, all your forced conversion programs against the Pagans in 9 Crusades against Northern Pagans and learned the real truth about your Crusades into Jerusalem where you Christians slaughtered more Jews and fellow Christians than you ever did Muslims and actually? You all had to call off the Third and Fourth Crusades because you Christians had slaughtered so many of your fellow Christians? There were not enough left to fight the Muslims. And then? Don’t even get me started on how your Christian ancestors committed the worst case of mass human extermination in recorded history against my Native American ancestors of North, Central and South American. Of course? Christians still justify this, or when I a Cherokee/Blackfeet speak of any of this? I get TRASHED by Christians being told? I’m gonna be perfectly honest, my friend: my heart truly breaks for you. As the father of a daughter who was molested by a member of my own congregation, someone I thought was a friend, yet was a predator, I can, in a very small way, feel your pain. Your demand for justice is obvious, and I can understand that.
The world is a big place, and it’s full of good people, bad people, and good people who are ignorant. However, I can’t make excuses for any of them. All I can do is give an account to God for my own life and how I managed what He entrusted me with. That being said, despite my shortcomings, I am not anything like that against which you rage. I would hope you are not like the other atheists who have also killed millions, some of which are still active.
That being said, when it’s all said and done, Jesus asked the question of Peter, “Who do you say I am?” The world had a definition, but that varied across the board. So, despite what other “Christians” say, what do YOU say in answer to Jesus’ question?

Your Jesus? Supposedly loved the little children now didn’t he? Did he not also say, should you harm a single hair on the head of a child or by your actions? Drive that child from the love of god? It would be better for you to hang a huge millstone around your neck and throw yourself into the deepest of lakes?
Did not your Jesus say that all you got to do is pray in his name and he will hear you and answer your prayers?
Well? Your Jesus batting average on answering the cries,screams and prayers as they were being raped by Christian priests and pastors, especially in the churches and even especially on altars? Is zero. NOT ONCE did your Jesus EVER answer the prayers of a child being raped and stopped their rapes.

1. God and Jesus answered your prayers, just not in the way you wanted it.
Oh really? So we wanted your Jesus and God to stop our being raped in their churches and on their altars and they decided? NO. We are not going to answer that prayer. And what is funny? As all powerful and all knowing as your god is claimed to be? He is absolutely powerless to answer just ONE of the prayers of these children, send a bolt of lightning from the sky, strike the Christian pedophile between their eyes and turn them into a pile of ashes with their eyeballs bugging out. 2. Jesus and God will punish them when they get before them.
REALLY? You mean your all powerful all knowing god could not punish them here too? Most of these disgusting degenerates? Belong on death row plain and simple. And? If your God and Jesus are so concerned with true Justice? Fight any changes to those laws that prevent victims and survivors from getting True Justice for the CRIMES committed against them?
3. YOU all seem to minimize these CRIMES by calling them? Sins.

Then one day? A scientist reasoned why those people who had cats? Were not getting infected. They did a little research and realized? It was fleas on the back of rats coming in from the East Trade Ships that was spreading it.

You are right. Nobody should be demanding you to believe in anything. It’s insensitive and doesn’t acknowledge what you’ve been though, your hurt and your pain. I understand this at the deepest level.
I was not a Christian when this happened to me so it is difficult to answer your questions from that perspective. But what I can tell you is that I would have been highly offended if someone talked to be about God back then when all I wanted to do was die. What I missed and would have appreciated was someone to hold simply hold me and love me and tell me that I was not someone else’s garbage, that my life was worth something and that they loved me.
So simply from one human to another I tell you from the depths of my heart I am sorry, I love you and your life is valuable and worth something. You are validated in your feelings and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Let your healing journey take you wherever it may, do not let anyone dictate how you should feel or what you should believe. We learn this in recovery, our journey is our own, and I feel so united with others in their pain and suffering at the hands of pedophiles. I am here friend to unite in your pain, to champion you and to love you for who you are, in the place where you are and to encourage to take your own journey, whatever that may look like.

I have heard of one church that actually held a ceremony for the victims that did commit suicide in their PARISH. They rang the bell for each victim and? They cracked the freaking bell cause they had to hit it so many damn times.
Me personally? Even doctors are amazed how I survived 9 serious suicide attempts. The last one? Was after I stood up to the Roman Catholics and they came after me and had me thrown into jail!!! I tried to kill myself over it. I took a freaking tshirt, stretched it out, wrapped it around my neck and started yanking on it. Guards came screaming into the cell and they freaked. They stopped me, but they literally heard me breaking my neck. I literally seperated my spinal colum from my neck.
One of the guards? Came back three days later. He had to take those three days off. He came and talked to me. He said he had nightmares over what I did. He said he had NEVER looked into the eyes of a person and saw the complete and utter hopelessness, the complete and utter horror as they heard me begging them to let me die.
And this asshole who runs this blog? Trashes me for standing up against this. And? Even proclaims me? Worthy of hell.
And I tried to expalin to that jerk that hell? Is one of the horrors that those rapist priests used on me to terrorize me into silence. I just left him a personal comment on my reblog of this and I told him? He is damn lucky he did not say I was going to hell to my face cause the last person who did? I broke their freaking jaw in three places and knocked out half their teeth.
There are triggers. And telling a rape victim…I AM NO LONGER A VICTIM, I AM A SURVIVOR, that they are going to go to hell? Is one of those triggers for far too many of us.

I am a suicide survivor. I know the harm fake Christians can do. (And, by the way, the Children of God were/are a cult). It is not my intention in ANY way to trash you for standing up against pedophiles and rapists wrapped in clerical robes. Heck, I’m right there with ya! I think they should be rooted out and dealt with! Why can’t you see that? I was the one who wrote the piece condemning the church in Florida for hiring a convicted sex-offender!
As for hell, I’m sorry that it was a trigger. I’m sorry that you were abused and that hell was used as a tool of terror to manipulate you. But the only reason I mentioned hell in the first place was in the context of all of us deserving it – none are are holy, despite how good we try to be.
I have tried to get you to see that all of the verses you used to prove I was a BAD Christian were verses that applied to everyone – if they are true. A universal truth is just that – universal. That is why I responded with the point that what you were using to point out my flaws equally applied across the board. That’s all.

2. It was HUMANS who came up with the concept of god, of Jesus, of Heaven and Hell. It was humans who created it, it was humans who decided the theology and wrote the theology of it. This? Is not a god created thing, this? As well as ALL spiritual and religious beliefs? Are created by the humans who made them up, and promoted them.
Your hell? Is actually taken from? Dante’s Divine Comedy The Inferno. That? Is a truth and a fact!!!
3. This is how Islam also came to be. Muhammed is the actual creator of Islam and it’s theology. That did NOT come from a god he proclaims as Allah, that came from HIMSELF.
4. Every group of humans? Created their own gods/goddesses and pantheons. Eacn and every one? Worshiped in those gods and goddesses. and fully believed in them. They had priests and priestesses promoting those theologies. Does this mean they were all wrong and who are YOU to judge they were?
5. YOU have to truly study how your religion Christianity became the power it became. It was NOT through spreading of a message of loving all your neighbors, no, it was FORCED upon people. How can you truly say someone is a Christian if it is forced upon them by pains of brutal death? You have to study all of it. From how your bible came to be.
If you just take it all on blind faith? Then remember the history of your religion and how other Christians took what their leaders told them to do on BLIND FAITH. Look at all those Christian slaughters of others, all their persecutions of others. All because some Christian leader? Told them this was how it was. REALLY?
Blind faith in a religion? Brings harm to the rest of humanity.
Now? If your Christianity had actually rose on it’s real message? Man. Honestly? What a beautiful world they could have created if they had only lived by their proclaimed Lord and Saviors greatest commandment of loving ALL your neighbors, of not judging others, of being kind to all people?

So, we have come to a theological impasse. I understand your view of the history of hell. I also understand the history of Christianity’s spread is littered with the evil effects of man’s desire for power.
But where you throw in the towel, or rather burn it, I see it for what it is supposed to be and reject the imposition of faith by the sword or threat. I don’t think about it as a “What could have been,” but a “what is, what has been, and what forever more shall be.” Distortions and abuses of truth doesn’t change it; it only goes to show how far enemies of the truth will attempt to pervert it.

Atheists yourself as YOU do not believe in all the other gods and goddesses ever worshiped by humans and call them fake and not real right? Well? I just call one more than you all do fake and not real.
But yesterday was also? An anniversary of what happened to me in that church by those priests. That is probably why? I went off so much. Last night? I buried two of those demons, and after an internet search? Found they are in their graves. I do not know about the third one cause he quit being a priest so it is harder to keep track of him but I would imagine that Gaulin is not long for this world and will soon receive his reward.
Now, here is something strange for you to ponder.
I was not kidding you. I have spent the better part of my life, actually since I was 15 after all that happened to me? Searching for certain things. I had to learn not only why I believed in the god I was told and brain washed into believing in, but also all of the stuff related to the basis of that belief system. How Christianity actually rose to power, how the bible actually came to be, etc. All of it.
I studied all the Pagan myths. I’ve studied many Native American myths. I spent years on these subjects.
This is all my opinion and I am allowed to have it just like YOU are allowed to have yours.
It takes a whole LOT of guts and courage to say wait a minute, I am not just going to blindly believe, on faith, what I am being told is true. That would in essence? Be living someone elses beliefs and thought. I think for myself. This is why I have a brain and a conscious. I came to the conclusion that all of those Bronze Age myths? Are just that. Bronze Age myths from the time of humanity when we were incredibly superstitious and ignorant. But? We have come a very long way when we said those sounds of thunder? Were the voices of our god. We have come a long way since we said beings that were basically invisible? Created everything. I mean come on, according to your bible? The earth is basically 8,000 years old and even the Universe is that old when science? Has far proven it is not.
But? Here is one of my thoughts that might actually? Blow your mind.
The mind of a human is a very powerful thing. We have proven this. Belief is a very powerful thing. We have proven that. The thoughts of the mystics? Including your Jesus? All taught? That as you think? As you believe? So you create. Now? Billions upon billions of Christians believe their god is real, their Jesus is real, their heaven and hell is real. This has gone on for pretty much 1,700 years. That? Is a whole lot of power. How do we know? With the theories of what is taught? That your beliefs, your prayers, your thoughts about your god, your Jesus, your Heaven and Hell? Actually created it all? That? Is in actuality? A very distinct possibility. Who knows. It is? Something to ponder.
Which in essence? All people who have religious beliefs about gods and goddesses? Also did the same, and in essence? They too created these beings in existence?
Pretty wild theories, pretty wild Twilight Zone episodes can be done on this one train of thought.
But neither YOU nor anyone else can say truly? Your god is real. This was brought to you and you accepted it as real. That is your right as an independent human being. But? YOU or any other god believer? Do not have a right to demand any person who believes in a different god? A different religion? Or no god or no religion at all? To force your religion upon another. These? Are YOUR opinions actually. Just as Thomas Jefferson said, religious beliefs? Are actually an opinion that your religious beliefs? Are right. And? What your religious beliefs might be right for YOU? May not be right for another person who has their own religious beliefs, or? None at all.
Again, I apologize for the nasty language and some of the things I did say. Honestly? I do not wish harm on others. I really do not. But hey, your insults? Were pretty hypocritical and nasty against me. YOU? Need to also practice what you preach to me.
Don’t be like a Christian who demands us atheists to live up to your Christian ways when YOU Fail to live up to them and do not expect us atheists, or anyone else? To continue to lay down for your nasty Fake Christians. We basically have no problems with those who are True Christians cause generally? YOU True Christians are pretty cool. But your Fake Christians? Are literal shitstains on the underwear of humanity and we they persecute and hate on? Have every damn right to stand up to them and defend ourselves against them. The biggest thing we are pissed off about you True Christians over this is your failure to stand up to your Fake Christians and then? Getting pissed at us who do stand up to them because you fail to.

The one biggest thing any Christian can show me they are a “True Christian”? Is by living their lives spreading love and joy, not hate and death. If you call yourself a Christian and you do spread love and joy? then I would accept you as a brother or a sister of humanity. If you wish to proclaim I have a religion as a whole lot of Christians seem to say about us atheists? That atheism is actually a religion (But no it fits no definition of a religion)?, then? My religion is HUMANISM.
I believe EVERY HUMAN has a right ot life as long? As they do no harm to anyone. That Christians have a right ot live? As much as we atheists, or Muslims or Buddhists, or others.
I liken all religions and religious beliefs to a rock. YOU want to worship a rock (ie god and no I am not trying to be insulting on this to you) then fine. Worship your rock. Love your rock, live by the rules of your rock. But? Do not take your rock? And smash someones face in with you rock because that person does not believe in your rock, believes in a different rock than you do, or no rock at all.Do not use your rock to harm any other human being.
history has shown? People use their rocks to cause other people great harm. This? Has to stop. Especially when the rock believer? Tells us their rock is based on love, peace, non-judgment etc. Live your rock, cause who knows? If you truly live the teachings of love of your rock? You might change the world and make it a much more beautiful place to live, which we all desperately need right now with all the shit that is going on in the world right now.
People who have their rocks? Have to stop using their rocks to cause harm to their fellow human beings.
This? Is what the essence of being a Humanist is all about. Loving all people, no matter what rock they believe in, or not believe in. I do try, but some of you rock believers? Make it damn hard to do so.

Let me give you another lesson on your Jesus.
Ever heard of the Essenes? Well supposedly? That is where they claim that Jesus went to and stayed until he came to start his ministry.
The Essenes? Were a real group of men. They were highly mystical. They were highly spritual. They lived in a commune of all men. All they did was study. They wrote. They were pretty interesting people with some of their theological and spiritual ways. And Jesus? Promoted much of what they taught.
One of the verses that has seemed to have disappeared from all the translations except for the first King James bible is the verse where Jesus is talking about how all you got to do is believe in him and his power and if your faith was even as small as a mustard seed? You could move mountains. But the verse that appears to now be missing is this incredible statement.
We are all sons and daughters of god and therefore you are all gods.
Here? You got your own Jesus? Proclaiming us GODS. But? It was more than likely removed from all the other translations cause that verse? Would not help the people the leaders, stay in their power, if the flock knew? They did not need them lol.
And you know what? He was right. We are in fact? The real gods. We have actually? All the powers we atrribute to the god.
We have the power? To create worlds or destroy them. Just look at what we are doing to destroy this planet with dumping our pollutionin our oceans, our waterways and our lands, our use of fossil fuels etc. We have the power to give life or take it. We have the power to love or hate. We can forgive or we do not. WE? Have all the powers that we attribute to god.
The religions? Were created by humans. The leaders? Wanted power over people and the riches and fame and popularity that all came with it. All you are? Is a sheep and a source of money for them.
Again, look at your own Christianity. How many different denominations are there? How many different sects of each denomination are there? How many different translations and versions of the bible are there?
Even you Christians? Cannot agree together what is right and what is wrong and you actually? Have killed each other over this.
So ask yourself. Is this truly a religion of peace and love? Did it really get spread this way? And why do YOU seriously take this on blind faith that it is true? Because your parents believed in it too? Or others told you this was the truth and you just blindly accepted it without fully studying why you believe it in the first place?
These are the things ALL humans must ask themselves before they accept another humans creation of a religion, of gods, of theology.

I feel so sad for you Christians and your actual self hate.
To proclaim yourselves evil, to proclaim yourselves sinners? Is horrifying to me. To say you are not even worthy of life really? Sickens and disgusts me. To have people so brainwashed by other humans to believe this of themselves? To say that you are worthy of spending an eternity in hell? Sickens and disgusts me. It is horrifying to me, to believe that humans can be brainwashed this way.
IT LITERALLY BREAKS MY HEART.
YOU are not evil. I am not evil. YOU are not a sinner. YOU are a beautiful human being, with all kinds of goodness in you. We may have had harsh words to each other? but yeah, I do see you? AS a beautiful human being. How the hell can you condemn yourself so much when you speak about yourself the way you do. How can you state to yourself that YOU are deserving of spending an eternity in a place like the Christian hell.
That is oh so evil and vile to program a human being to believe this about themselves.
Are there truly evil people in the world? Damn right there are. But most humans? Are not evil. Most humans? Are actually? Beautiful people.

Thank you for the kind and uplifting words. I’m glad you feel that way about people – that most are just good people.
But from a biblical perspective, we serve a thrice-holy God. Any breaking of His law, any rebellion, demands judgement. If God is a righteous Judge, and if evil must be reckoned for, then it’s either in this life or the next. I have lied, stolen, lusted, hated, envied, misrepresented, fornicated, etc. As good of a guy that I am, I’ve still done those things. I broke God’s law and stand guilty.
However, I also believe that God meant it when He said that He was willing that none should perish. I believe it when He said he loved me so much, despite my sin, that He made provision through Christ. So, now I’m no longer facing judgment; Jesus paid my fine – because he loved me.
Ultimately, a proper understanding of hell, should it exist in any form, is that it is a place where eternal beings reside by choice, for they reject the simple gift of grace. Yes, it can get a lot deeper and philosophical, but despite Dante, Jesus himself spoke of a place that wasn’t the grave, wasn’t simply the domain of the dead, but a place of everlasting torment. Even Bertrand Russel said that he could never believe in Jesus as a good man because Jesus believed in hell.
I bow a humble knee before a Holy God. I accept His offer. You can only do what you believe.

Again, Christians literally changed the theology of the Jewish afterlife. Yes, Jesus talked about Gehenna, an yes, the Jews described it as a “grave”, but that is totally different than your Christian hell. Gehenna is another name for Sheol.
Again, the Jewish afterlife was not one of true punishment like hell. It was a place of darkness yes, and there really was no joy there. People were described as being more shadows. But? All went there. Good, bad, poor, rich, theist, antitheist.And they claimed that as the person lived in real life? They continued to do so in the afterlife.
The Jewish afterlife is completely different than the Christian one and I just got to ask why did the Christians who took 99% of their religion from the Jewish OT? Decided to change their version of the Jewish afterlife of Sheol to the Christian afterlife of Hell.

So if your soul is eternal? That means it has always existed since the beginning of time right? Otherwise? You cannot claim your soul is eternal. Then where was your soul before you were born into this body? It had to be around before you were born if it is eternal right?
So where do you believe your soul was before you were born?

I do not believe that the soul has eternally existed. I believe that the soul of man is eternal from its beginning. There is a difference. To have existed eternally is to be self-existent, and I don’t, as you spoke of earlier, believe we are in the same ballpark as an eternal God.

I can feel your hurt and pain so deep, I hurt for you my friend. I was there so I know. I know what it feels like to be judged and told that you must have done something to deserve it or things far worse than that. I cry for you because I hurt with you and understand your pain and hurt. Our job my friend is to educate people. We cannot simply expect them to understand. I learned this valuable lesson in recovery especially with my husband. I had to teach him what my triggers were. And even he had a difficult time with it. So imagine that if someone you love has a hard time understanding your pain, then the rest of the world has a more difficult time. I am not telling you what to do in anyway, but instead of being angry, let’s together educate people. Honestly, I find that people really have no clue that what they say it so hurtful. Exactly what you said about “victims” and “survivors,” I totally get that. I have my own triggers and they are devastating to deal with.
I think Pastor Baker’s heart is in the right place. I have had many personal discussions with him and he has always treated me with dignity and respect, even when I chose to become a Catholic. The key my friend is in the way we deliver the message. If we want to be heard, we also have to be understanding to the other person’s lack of education as well. In recovery, I learned that I cannot blame my husband for his own lack of understanding and that people are afraid to talk about the details because that is ugly and forces them to face the gruesome reality. Most are not equipped for that.
I am here for you and happy to provide you any help I can in how I got through recovery and how I am functioning now. I actually ran small groups for abuse victims for awhile and it was life changing.
I hope that you will see that I genuinely care for you, your health and well being. While others may not know or understand how to to talk to us, we have to be ready and willing to explain to them what it is that we need.

My beautiful daughter went through this. She is my adopted daughter, but I love her as much as I love my own blood sons.
Her Christian sperm donor? Started raping her when she was 8. Her mother knew it. Her aunts and uncles knew it. They blamed her!!! He kept raping her until she turned 17 and her braces came off. But? He continued to sexually assault her.
I started hanging out with him as? Yeah I smoke pot, it is a wonder medicine for me. I used to get it from him. And then? I started seeing what he was doing to her. He would sexually assault her right in front of me, expecting me? To join in with him cause his other friends sure did.
I put a stop to it. I went to my brother who is a cop and asked him what I could do about it. But seeing she was now 18? I had to witness at least three instances of sexual assault on her by him according to the way the laws are. YOU have no idea what that was like.
I was going to kill him. She begged me not to. She wanted him to face justice for what he did to her. The last time? He grabbed her by the breasts and crotch right in front of me. I punched him right in the face and told him YOU are now done.
Next day? I was talking to a local detective I knew. He urged me to get her to come in. I went over and she was in the process of committing suicide. I stopped her and told her she needed to come with me to the cops who wanted to do something about it all. She made a deal with me.
She was the first one I told in a long time about what those priests did to me. She made me promise that if I walked her to the cop station and stayed there while she was there and went to the RCC and told them what happened to me? Then she would go. And I kept my word to her. I walked right down to that police station with her and stayed there for two hours while she did her interview/. When she came out? The detective took me aside and told me.
He was going to go to a grand jury and have that sperm donor indicted. She? Had to even leave her house. Sure they arrested him but let him go on bond and she had to leave the only home she ever knew while he stayed there. So? I gave her my home.
She told me over and over again? I saved her life. She loves me? Like I am her true father and I love her like she is my own daughter and I will give my life to defend hers. Currently? She is with an amazing guy, got a great job, but even that guy she is with knows? He harms a hair on her head? He will have to deal with this Wolf and that is something? He would not want to do.
Her sperm donor? Got 20 years behind bars.
I know people in the prison he is in and I told them what he was there for because they were informing me? That he was actually going around saying he was in there because he beat me severely cause he caught me raping his wife. I even sent them the news articles. His life behind bars? Well you know what happens to pedos in prison. And he deserves everything he got and gets. And? If he EVER gets out?
He will disappear from the face of the earth and that? Is a promise.

What an incredible story. I work for a police department now and so there are so many horrible cases. This is why I got into this work in the first place, to use my experience for good and help those that need it.
Remember, not everyone will treat us kindly and that’s ok. One person understanding and reaching out is all you need. Unfortunately, pedophilia is an incurable disease, an evil that we live with everyday. So we help by educating people and by loving those that are effected.
My friend you have so many wonderful things to say. Take that energy and use it in love. The world needs to hear your special and unique voice but will not listen if you are abrupt with them. I speak from experience from my own journey.

I will be honest with you. Trust me. I have much love to give to people and I give it to them.
I give it to victims who call me who are about to commit suicide and I talk them out of it.
I give it to the victim and survivor when no one else will. When their parents kicked them out of the house, or the pew polishers of the church attack them? I am there to give them the love they need and stand up for them.
I give it to the victims families whose child committed suicide. Far too many of them? I have spent up all night? Crying with them helping them to try to get through their loss, their grief, their pain and suffering.
I also give it to all my true Native American brothers and sisters, who are still battling all kinds of evil that has been brought upon them sadly? By Christians.
I also give it, believe it or not? To many Christians and even Muslims and Jews. My sister from another mother? She was actually my first communion partner and about 9 years ago? We actually reconnected and found? She was living three houses down from where I was living. She does not go to church, she has walked away from all of that, but I have never met a more True Christian in that woman than any other I have ever met. She has NEVER judged me for my anger, she loves me for who and what I am warts and all. And I love that woman to death and would give my life to protect her. And? I got other Christian and Muslim friends who treat me this way too whom I do love to death. We may agree on theology? But they love this sometimes insane, but most of the time? One funny dude and they do not judge me, or condemn me or tell me I am going to a hell cause I do not believe as they do.
I may be real PISSED and ANGRY at all the harm those who call themselves Christians have done to others, and I have every right to hate them, be angry and pissed with them. And I have every right to stand up to them and to be honest with you? Demand as they want to sow unto others? So should they reap
Personally? I truly wish you True Christians? Would actually? Truly stand up to them and call them out instead of us atheists or others doing it lol. Even your own NT bible? Demands that you all do so.

And yes you have every right to be and feel your anger. If I wasn’t clear about that I am truly sorry. That is what I meant.
I do not feel the need to use words to call out people- Christian or not. I live my life in such a way that love overcomes more. I love people despite, a sacrificial love when they don’t deserve it.
I am particularly inspired at this point in time by Mother Theresa who did small things with great love and cared for those who were the discarded of society. I stopped engaging in apologetics a long time ago, especially when I became a Catholic and almost every Protestant friend I had abandoned me. This was especially hard for me as I am a Jewish convert to the faith.
But I know who I am and I know who God called me to be. I don’t owe anyone an explanation. My greatest spiritual director is an agnostic on his best day who I tell continually that he is a better Christian than any other Christian I have ever met. It’s like Gandhi said, “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”
It was so nice to talk to you today, another soul who understands how I feel. And look I am Catholic and you atheist- but our souls know each other. Thank you also for not judging me for being a Catholic and respecting my decision . That speaks volumes about the type of person you are!

I am sorry I am going to burst your bubble on Mother Teresa. Trust me? She is not worth it. What she was revealed to actually have done to these people? Is truly evil. Believe me. I would not be saying this if I did not fully investigate her.
Most of the money she got for that charity she ran? Did not go to help those people, they went directly into the coffers of the Vatican and she harmed a whole lot of people and even caused many unecessary deaths. She actually felt their suffering was beautiful and a gift from god.
Of course people of the Church will insist I am lying, but trust me, I am not. I actually wish I was.
Interesting who they make the Saints of their Church. Pope John Paul II? Was outright busted protecting Marcial Marciel the Legion of Christ founder who raped his own seminary students, raped his own sons, yeah he got had kids by two women. John Paul knew ALL about it but turned a blind eye and a deaf ear to it because as he said? Marciel was great at bringing in the bodies to his seminary and he gave the Pope and other Cardinals expensive gifts to ignore what he was doing.

If I were EVER going to praise any of the “Saints” of your church? The ones who are worthy, in my eyes? Are Saint Peter Damian and Saint Pope Pius V.
Peter Damian? Was really? One of the first Bishops who took a stand against the church for the rampant pedophilia. He wrote the Book of Gomorrah. Man did he slam the church for it all. He even said those who raped the kids and those who covered it up? Were in fact? Worthy of death.
Saint Pope Pius V went even further. He was working towards bringing ALL the Pedo Pimps and Pedos before the College of Cardinals where? They would literally beat the daylights out of them and then defrock them publicly and strip them of all their rights. He wanted them all to be turned over to civil authorities to be put to death.

I have worked with victims of ALL of the denominations. Man the stories they tell me? Would make you puke.
We had one pastor? Who raped a 12 yr old girl on the grave of her father right after he held the funeral services for her father. Imagine the horror that poor girl went through and how she would feel each and every time she went to visit her fathers grave, if she even could.

If it is what you’ve communicated to the world through the gospel, your reputation has been secured for you by Christ. That should liberate you to be transparent, to acknowledge failure.”
I know that was a lot, but the news story is much, much longer. But I’d like for you to note a few key words in the above quotes: authoritarian, legalism, transparency. The whole purpose of starting this blog 10 years ago was to battle legalism and the authoritarian mindset that crippled freedom and questions. On top of that, I am probably more transparent than is healthy – I WANT to be an open book.
Also, if you will notice, the book to which I refer in my original post is mentioned. Note that in that paragraph the issue is how churches are not inherently the danger; it’s more that predators find churches to be easy prey. It’s not that Christians are more likely to be child rapists, but that child rapists are more likely to deceive their way in to a place where people by nature want to be forgiving. My argument – and I have been trying to get this word out for the last 3 years – is that churches need to learn the red flags and how to recognize a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Then, know how to get rid of them if they ever get in in the first place – which they shouldn’t.
Sir, despite our theological differences, when it comes to sexual abuse in the church, we are allies, not enemies. It’s just that I don’t seek to destroy the Faith as I root out the monsters, including the legalistic, authoritarian, graceless power-trip pastors who are a cancer in the Body of Christ.

I worked three years helping a victim of the Bob Jones University system of pedophiles. Talk about a horror story. One of my friends, a fellow survivor who does the blog on all this? Referred her to me.
She had come under vile attack by this woman we called Psycho Sally who was the daughter of one of the pedo pastors from Bob Jones. She and her group of psychos terrorized this woman Cathy Harris. Yeah I can use her name.
Well Cathy told me all her horror story. What it boiled down to? Was having to get the FBI involved.
Basically? All she knew was? She had been adopted by this pervert from Bob Jones pastor pedos. She had been told? Her parents and brothers and sister? All died in a car accident. He spent years raping and terrorizing her.
She got away from it and went and told others what happened. They went after her. The town she lived in? Almost ALL the cops? Were associated with the Bob Jones church. They did not give a damn that this Psycho Sally had been putting bullets on her door and windows, damaging her car, killing her farm animals. Even when Psycho Sally was busted outright, slamming her car all over Cathys lawn and destroying things? They still did not do anything.
When I came along and started to help her? I went all out and then? I came under attack by Psycho Sally and her crew. They even did a totally disgusting blog slamming me and Cathy calling both of us liars. She went and took screen shots of all my Facebook groups where I exposed these pedo priests and pedo ministers and posted them on her blog with taking them out of context.
Then the death threats against Cathy got real bad. So? I knew some FBI agents from work I did before with them and contacted them. They? Had me get Cathy to contact them and they started investigating.
What they found out was INSANE.
Cathy’s parents and brothers and sisters? NEVER died in that accident. They had been looking for Cathy for years. They thought she was dead.What this freaking Bob Jones pastor did was? Kidnapped her and then? Through the lawyers with Bob Jones? Made up false adoption papers with a fake name for her. That was the name? She thought was hers too.
Even with the FBI knowing all of this? They could not do squat cause of the statute of limitations. Sad isn’t it?
BUT THE BRIGHT SIDE OF IT? THE FBI? RECONNECTED CATHY WITH HER REAL FAMILY. MAN IT IS BEAUTIFUL SEEING THE PICTURES OF HER AND HER FAMILY TOGETHER.
We tried to get Psycho Sallys website closed down. We were sort of successful but she appealed it to her web hoster and they put it back up.

My biggest gripe about the you all in the pews is? YOU really all need to get it together and stop being scared of the Pope, Cardinals, Bishops and Archbishops and finally put the ones who covered up these crimes and protected the pedos out of business. I know that is one huge challenge to do but you Catholics in the pews? Have in fact? Effected change by your actions. Again, I would imagine the greatest way for the message to be gotten across is? A full and total withholding of all collection plate donations and all donations to the churches until this is done. Yes, you all cry how this would harm your parish, but trust me. It is either that? For a long time? I could not see a collar or a habit or walk by a church? Without going nuts. I had to go to my godmothers and fathers funeral in a RCC. Matter of fact? The one that held my fathers funeral? Was where one of the priests who raped me came from. Oh boy I could not deal with it. My older brother who ALWAYS hate me and blamed me for my mother leaving, though I had NOTHING to do with it? Got pissed thinking I was acting like a jerk in the church. He could not know why though. Yeah, I was literally sitting there sweating like a waterfalls and my PTSD and anxiety was going through the roof.
But when I was going to therapy? Well I am also? A nature photographer. That is my way? Of showing me? There is still beauty in this world. Well my therapist suggested I try walking into the church as a photo project.
I went in and lasted a whole five minutes the first time before I went running screaming out of there.
The second time? I could stay just a little longer because she gave me a little trick to do so.
The third time? I spent a whole hour in there photographing the place. I mean it is a really beautiful church.
But before I did all of this? My daughter and I? Went in there together twice. The first time yeah I could not handle that. But the second time? She said look, you walked in there the last time and you did not burst into flames, you did not melt like a frog, you did not go possessed insane. Lets try it again.
We did, I swear if she had not been there with me? Yeah. When we walked out? I spent five minutes just hugging her and thanking her for what she did for me.
This? Is a link to the photography. I basically put it all up on a blog and told the Priest of the church all those pictures? Were all theirs, They could sell them, do what ever they wanted and I did not want a dime in return.
I think they came out pretty damn good myself.

Yes I did. I have had nine gallery shows of my photography. I had one at the local hospital of my floral photography. People said it was like you could walk in and literally smell the flowers and they looked so real they could touch them.

I find it amazing really. I mean I have been reporting on the Catholic Church since 2007.
Do you all even know what your Pope Francis did to the deaf/mute children who were being raped at the Antonio Provolo Institute in Argentian and Italy?
They even sent him videos and letters. begging and pleading with him to put a stop to the 2 priests, the 3 laymen and the nun who had been brutally raping them for years. They accused the local Bishop of turning a blind eye to it all.
What did Francis do? He insulted and denigrated the victims and actually called them children of the devil and liars. And even when his own Vatican convicted the Bishop? He never apologized to the victims he trashed.
The two priests? Had been raping deaf/mute boys at their Antonio Provolo Institute in Verona Italy. Five were actually caught doing so. The two worst? They just transferred them to the one in Argentina.
Now how come Catholics will NOT demand all their credibly accused Cardinals, Bishops, Archbishops and even Popes, be defrocked, kicked out of the church, arrested and prosecuted for their crimes?
Why do Catholics fight tooth and nail against any changes of the statute of limitations that would give the victims and survivors justice? And put their pedophiles in prison or make them pay for any of their crimes?
I just do not understand Catholics and their complete and utter failure to demand all those leader Pedophile Pimps as we call them? Not be kicked out.

As the work I have done on this? Ever talk to the survivors of say their Industrial Homes or Schools? Ever hear their horror stories? They need to pay for their Crimes Against Humanity and the Children of the World? By going to prison and even facing the Death Penalty.
What truly needs to be done is? All statute of limitations against child rape and abuse? Needs to be ended, a window opened for ALL victims and survivors to receive just compensation and all those pedo priests? Put in prison where they belong, not on the streets where most of them still are and most of them? We do not even know where they are. And as you say? Pedophiles do not stop raping kids unless they are dead.
And all sovereign immunity laws must be ended for the Vatican and the RCC and all their Pedo Pimps? Must be arrested, brought before the World Court at the Hague and prosecuted for their Crimes Against Humanity and the Children of the World.

I do understand where you are coming from. My 1st perp was my uncle and I was under the age of 2 and yes it was full-on penetration. My father was in the navy so we moved a lot. My next-door neighbor at one of the duty stations we were at sexually abused me with his son as well. Every station we lived at I was molested or raped at. Heck, even my mom made me masturbate in front of my father on at least 3 occasions before I was 10. And all the while being told I was going to hell because of it. My last violater was just as bad because it was a pastor who knew I was coming to his office (I was his secretary) and when I arrived he was naked as all get out and I left and it took me YEARS to get over all of this mess and I am still not over it but I am also sober now which is where this all took me. I became strung out on booze, and crack and heroin for MANY years. So, I do completely understand. Cause most all my young life til 35… I was violated. I tried to commit suicide or burn myself to disappear and die 10xs but always was found within the last 45 min of what would have been the end. Recently, (within the last year) my brother who is a drunk asked me to have sex with him. I told him if he came near me I would kill him. Yes, kill him. So, I understand completely. I also live on an Indian Reservation in Arizona so, please know I understand and NO ONE EVER NEEDS TO BE PUT THROUGH WHAT WE HAVE GONE THROUGH NO ONE… AND CERTAINLY NOT AT THE HANDS OF A PASTOR, OR PRIEST, OR ANYONE!!! Where was GOD when I was 18 months old when my uncle started? Where was God when my neighbor raped me with his son until he was transferred? Where was God every time I tried to kill myself? Well, you might not like my answer but I found Him. He was there. See we live in a world where we are allowed free will and choice. Sometimes yes He will stop it but because He gave free will to all of us (you included)He did not… TRUST ME, I am not condoning what was done to you no just the opposite those 3 priests should have been condemned to a firing squad or worse and I do feel so horrible that you have obviously been carrying this around for decades as have I. I guess that makes me wonder… who started hospitals, orphanages, food banks, suffered martyrdom, opposed slavery, visits the prisons, adopts the orphans, and affirmed that “all men are created equal”?
Because the Gospel is so powerful, it is no wonder there are always going to be those who want to use it and twist it to further their own struggle for power and domination. But the misuse of Truth doesn’t negate the Truth. I actually shared one story yesterday by a Reich-Wing Roman Catholic promoter of butchery and slaughter, who was PRAISING the Christian Crusades that slaughtered, butchered, and murdered Pagans, Jews and others. Saying it was righteous and by their god and Jesus commanded.

I believe you must be referring to “troglodyte.” And you keep talking about the Bronze Age, yet when did Native American superstitions come about? And is atheism a new thing? Sir, I feel sorry for you. I really do. I am hear at my office, alone, planning how we as a congregation can still feed families in our community (which includes atheists and LGBTQ – we just provide food and a little love); how we can make sure our families make it through this difficult time; and work with the Chamber of Commerce to encourage the small businesses in our little community. I don’t hate people…I don’t force people…I don’t kill people who believe differently…I even take precious time to kindly reply to someone who wants to publicly attack me. As best I can tell, you’re a one-trick pony with nothing to bring to the community table but animosity, misinformation, and a consistent tendency to compare apples with onions.
I have nothing to fear from your arguments, for they are only loosely based on historical fact, much of which is twisted to fit your narrative of revenge. You see, I can rely on objective, real-world evidence that goes to show that my character is nothing like what you imply. You can check me out across multiple state lines, in multiple cities and towns, with both Christian and non-Christian, and what you will find is a solid reputation of humility, community caring, honesty, and civility. Nothing like what you portray, and very unlike the impression you are giving of yourself, right now.
I see that you are leaving comment after comment, but I’m pretty much done replying to you. I do appreciate you initially taking the time to stop by, however. Panama Sect Tortures and Kills Indigenous People So They’ll Repent Their Sins
Police freed 14 local indigenous people from a ranch in a remote part of Bocas del Toro, Panama, where they were being held prisoner by an evangelical Christian sect that wanted to force them, by any means necessary, to repent of their sins.
The police became involved after three prisoners managed to escape. They alerted authorities to the ongoing situation after reaching a nearby hospital.
A raid on the facility, which belonged to the local New Light of God Church, revealed a ghastly scene. Survivors, including two pregnant women and some children, had been bound and tortured, beaten with Bibles and wooden cudgels, cut with machetes, and burned in an attempt at exorcism and conversion that had lasted nearly a week at the time of the police raid.
Seven more people did not survive the ordeal. Five of them were children. Their pregnant mother was also killed. The remaining murder victim was a seventeen-year-old neighbor. Their corpses were found in a freshly-dug grave not far from the ranch.
One of the ten men arrested in the killings was the murdered children’s grandfather.
Local prosecutor Rafael Bayoles says that murder was on the agenda for the remaining prisoners, too, if they failed to convince the church of their repentance.
They were performing a ritual inside the structure. In that ritual, there were people being held against their will, being mistreated. All of these rites were aimed at killing them if they did not repent their sins… One of [the leaders] said God had given him a message. That message apparently boiled down to making everyone repent or die.
Ten lay preachers — one of whom is a minor — have been arrested, but as yet very little is known about New Light of God: which denomination it might be affiliated with, what beliefs they embraced, and how they operated prior to the events of the week preceding the raid. A well-established local church with a similar name, Luz del Mundo, currently appears to have no ties to the group.
The ten men who rounded up families to convert and the twenty-four people they tortured are all part of Panama’s largest indigenous community, the Ngabé-Buglé, a semi-autonomous region heavily affected by poverty. The area is so remote, injured parties had to be airlifted to hospital by helicopter — which makes the escapees role in the rescue operation all the more remarkable.
Then? How about when that idiotic Christian went to that island of Natives where there were laws against him doing so and those Natives filled him full of arrows. What was the response of a whole lot of your fellow Christians on this? They wanted the island invaded and the tribe brought to justice for “murdering” a Christian.

Now, I’ve been in pastoral ministry since 1995, ten years after being licensed. I’ve earned a Masters and am pursuing a D.Min. I’m pretty familiar with the arguments you posed. And, as with most who use these arguments as reason to walk away, each one can be debunked, or at least severely weakened, by proper exegesis and contextual historical analysis. May I suggest a few books from Geisler, Turek, McDowell, Stott, and McGrath, among others?
But, to be honest, what I find, more often than not, is that many “atheists” are not true atheists, but believe in the ideal of a god of their own making. When put on the stand, they argue from a transcendent moral position, one that weighs all faiths in the balance, condemns them all, but never admits without their own god-figure is real.
Essentially, you either want there to be a God, and what you’ve been exposed to has delivered a disallusioning blow, or you DON’T want there to be a God because that ultimately challenges your pride or frightens you. Because, ultimately, who really, really wants to believe that everything is an accident and nothing matters? That’s a big reason people commit suicide!
But if your life DOES matter, then why? There’s no ultimate reason for purpose and meaning if we are nothing but the random collection of space dust.
So, I look at the universe, know that there is meaning, and believe that what I read about the God of the Bible tells me I have (and you have) incredible value. Inherent value, not the kind man grants.
So, I’m not saying don’t use my theology to hold me accountable. Absolutely do! What I’m saying is that you start from a flawed premise of atheism as the moral superior to “fairytales.” Your atheism denies a transcendent ethic, therefore all you are really doing is condemning opinion based on opinion.
Personally, I believe you want to believe in God, but you’ve been hurt so badly and blame Him for it. You hate God and anyone who believes in Him. I feel your anger and determination to destroy Christianity is a tool to help silence your doubt.

Let me ask you… what do you think gathering enmass would do for the situation? Would it make it more illegal? What would it accomplish? We have marched against other things like slavery and abortion, but that was because laws needed to be changed, right?
