Jefferson City, Missouri (Artist: Susan Cassidy Wilhoit)
Missouri Constitution, Article I, Section 5 (1845)
That all men have a natural and indefeasible right to worship God…
Just think how different North Korea could be if this one, simple sentence could be a part of their constitution?
What makes America different? This! Freedom of …OF – not “from”… religion. Specifically, the right to worship God, not man.
Give the FFRF (Freedom From Religion Foundation) what they want and we’ll end up like every other dictatorial society whose people live in bondage. Because like Bob Dylan said,
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re gonna have to serve somebody
I’d rather serve God, than man.
Hey! We’re transplants and I (probably like most native Show-Me’s) didn’t know this about our states constitution! Thanks!
Glad to inform 🙂
Just sent your post to another Missouri blog!
Cool! Show me! Ha! Couldn’t help it 😊
Here it is! https://mridenourblog.wordpress.com/2018/05/11/broken-toys/
My wife and I took a tour of the Missouri State Capitol Building, and it’s definitely worthwhile.
Thanks, Anthony!
Sorry I never called you. I didn’t write your number down and have no idea which post it was on. You can email me your number if you’d still like to talk…mridenourfishes@gmail.com.
