I’m so thankful to the Lord that for the better part of my 20+ years of ministry, I have been blessed to have been able to be paid full time by my churches to be able to focus on my church ministry. There were two years as a young youth pastor where I was fully bi-vocational and received no pay from the church, and many seasons where I had to get a second part-time job to supplement my income from the church. For as long as I have been a lead pastor, I have had a full salary from the church, but this past month, our church has had to reduce my salary because finances have been tight. And so, I have been working part time at our local coffee shop. Although it means working way more hours – full time at the church and nearly full time at the coffee shop – it has been a neat way to connect with different people in our community I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to meet, so that’s one aspect of it that I’m thankful for. May God richly bless you brother as you serve His church and work outside of the church, building bridges to those in the community!

Love you Pastors!
Hey, do you at least get free coffee?
