What are You Doing to the World?

Here are some beautiful pictures taken yesterday by my daughter, Katie. When I looked at them I told her, “You know, there is a verse in the Bible about turning the world upside down.” So that’s the question: why aren’t we still doing that?

Acts 17:1-7 ESV – (1) Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews. (2) And Paul went in, as was his custom, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures, (3) explaining and proving that it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus, whom I proclaim to you, is the Christ.”DSC_1534

Your daughter takes very cool pictures.

On your question? I think we don’t have a real burden for lost people. That should just make us desperate….the knowledge that somebody is lost….desperate for ways to reach them. But we just idly watch people slide rightto hell as if we dont even care.

It makes.me wonder when we dont reach out if we actually understand it.

    • Yep. I’ve been having to do some soul searching, myself.

      • Well…me too. A fellow I had been visiting just died. His funeral was Sunday. I had not been to visit in a long time. Just got busy and yada yada yada.and so forth. You know all of the excuses I am sure. Now the other man who goes out visiting with me an me myself are wondering if…just one more visit…would have helped. I was pointing that finger at me as much as anyone else. I was guilty of the things I said. Funny your post coming right at this time. Well..not funny…God sends messages to us by any means that will reach us right?
